Will feds step in to save DC?
Last year, I first proposed to my husband the idea of allowing our preteen daughter to ride the Washington, DC, Metro alone. She wants to take Irish dance classes in the city, and a weekly drive in from the Maryland suburbs is too much for the family schedule. Then came story after story of stabbings, gang violence, and even a shooting on the Metro. My proposal went back on the shelf. NY Post contributor Bethany Mandel shares this story.

'THIS IS WHO HAMAS IS': Bethany Mandel Brings Updates on Anticipated Return of Hamas Hostage Bodies
Bethany Mandel, co-author of the bestselling book Stolen Youth , joined The Guy Benson Show to discuss the heartbreaking fate of the Bibas family and the horrifying reality of Hamas's brutality and inhumanity in the face of the ongoing war in Israel. On Thursday, February 19, Hamas is expected to release the murdered bodies of Kfir Bibas (9 months old), Ariel Bibas (4 years old), Shiri Silberman Bibas (32 years old), and Oded Lifshitz (83 years old). Guy and Mandel broke down how Trump has given Netanyahu more freedom in his military decisions, why the idea of a two-state solution may be dead given Hamas's commitment to Israel's destruction, and how the media continues to sanitize Hamas's actions to downplay their true evil. Listen to the full interview and updates below. Listen to the full interview: Listen to the full podcast: Mandel had this to say on the reality of the brutality of Hamas: 'They held onto these bodies until the very last day, with the absolute depravity of returning Yarden, the father, with no information about what happened to his wife and children. No closure. And, you know, one of the other hostages they returned too doesn't receive nearly as much attention, but who had exactly the same thing happened to them. Eli Sharabi. They put him on a stage and they asked him, what are you looking forward to? And he said, seeing my wife and daughters, because they kept it from him for 500 days, that they had murdered his wife and daughters on October 7th. And he walked out of Gaza looking like a Holocaust survivor after being starved for 500 days. And he learned upon his return that they had murdered his entire family. Like, this is who Hamas is. Listen to them when they tell you who they are.'
