No joke: Two of the funniest actors in Hollywood are officially in-laws. Eddie Murphy confirmed during a May 29 appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show" that his son, Eric Murphy, has married Martin Lawrence's daughter, Jasmin Lawrence. Murphy said the couple opted against a large wedding and instead tied the knot quietly. "They got married like two weeks ago," he revealed in a clip shared by Entertainment Weekly. "Everybody was making the big wedding plans, and then they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them. "They went off and they got married at the church," he went on to add. "They just had the two of them and the preacher." Though the pair skipped a large wedding, Murphy said there will likely be a "big party" to celebrate the union. He noted that he and Martin Lawrence, who co-starred in the films "Life" and "Boomerang," are "in-laws" and joked the "Bad Boys" actor doesn't have "to pay for the big wedding now." Eddie Murphy's son is marrying Martin Lawrence's daughter: 'A love that feels like destiny' Jasmin Lawrence and Eric Murphy confirmed their relationship in 2021. In 2022, Lawrence told InTouch that they met through her uncle, not their famous parents. "It wasn't even our dads, and they've done two movies together," she told the outlet. "They're friends. I don't even know. It's crazy. But we met through my uncle, and we became really good friends. We bonded on a lot of things. Obviously, we have similar backgrounds, so we understood each other on a certain level." The pair confirmed their engagement in November by sharing a romantic video on Instagram showing Murphy getting down on one knee in a room filled with candles. "We're engaged!! God truly blessed us with a love that feels like destiny. We couldn't be more excited for this next chapter," Lawrence wrote on Instagram at the time. Eddie Murphy's son is 'head over heels in love' for Martin Lawrence's daughter Speaking to "CBS Mornings" last year, Eddie Murphy joked that if Eric and Jasmin "get married and have a child, I'm expecting the child to be funny." In his own appearance on "The Jennifer Hudson Show," Martin Lawrence praised Eric Murphy as a "great young man."

Eddie made the announcement on the episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show set to air on Thursday. "They went off," Eddie said, explaining the couple tied the knot at a church with only a preacher present. "Everybody was making the big wedding plans, and they decided they wanted to do something quiet with just the two of them." Eddie also noted that Martin, his co-star in Life and Boomerang, are officially in-laws. "And he doesn't have to pay for that big wedding now," he quipped, noting the family will probably have a "big party or something" to celebrate at some point in the near future. The couple announced their engagement in November. Taylour Paige pregnant with first child
Taylour Paige is expecting her first child. The Zola actress announced her pregnancy news on Instagram on Monday by posting a photo in which she wore a form-fitting white dress that hugged her baby bump. She did not caption the post. The 34-year-old received congratulatory messages in the comments from fellow celebrities. "Omg YEASSS. Sooo happy for you," wrote Lily Collins, who became a mum in January, while Aja Naomi King posted, "Oh Congratulations," with multiple heart emojis. Actors Rachel Zegler, Julia Fox, Laura Harrier and Jay Ellis also reacted to Taylour's happy news. This will be the first child for the Ma Rainey's Black Bottom actress and her fashion designer husband Rivington Starchild, who have been married since October 2022. Earlier this month, Taylour opened up about her battle with endometriosis, a disease in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of it. In an Instagram post, she revealed that she experienced "so much agony and turmoil" over the 20 years it went undiagnosed. She underwent surgery in 2023 and candidly shared pictures of her scars in honour of Endometriosis Awareness Month. Taylour experienced her breakout film role with Zola in 2020, but she has also starred in the TV show Hit the Floor and the films Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, Mack & Rita and White Boy Rick.
