Did Nicki Minaj Just Shade Beyoncé? The Barbz And BeyHive Heatedly Debate 'Mechanical Bull' Post

Did Nicki Minaj just throw shade Beyoncé's way? Well, it depends on who you ask, as the Queens MC took to her X account Sunday (July 13) with a post referencing a mechanical bull that fans of Beyoncé took as a dig, as Bey has been riding a mechanical bull on stage throughout her Cowboy Carter Tour. Minaj recently called out Bey's husband, JAY-Z, for allegedly cheating her out of multi-millions via their past deal with streaming service, TIDAL. JAY also made a surprise appearance on his wife's tour during the third date of its Atlanta stop Sunday night. While the BeyHive took offense, Nicki's loyal Barbz were quick to remind the Hive that the exact quote, 'The bull I ride is not mechanical' is from her 2023 track 'Cowgirl.' Still, the timing of the post and decision to highlight that bar in particular has Bey fans hitting Nicki and her followers with the side-eye. Check out the post above and both the Barbz's and BeyHive's reactions below. The BeyHive The Barbz Minaj took to social media to call out JAY-Z last week, reposting a meme from 50 Cent highlighting Rymir Satterthwaite's lawsuit against the mogul, as the 31-year-old is currently alleging that the Brooklyn native, 55, is his father. She followed that up by accusing him of refusing to hand over up to $200,000,000 in connection to her equity in TIDAL. 'We've calculated about 100-200MM so far. #JayZ call me to settle this karmic debt. It's only collecting more interest,' she wrote on X, adding that despite the financial dispute, 'You still in my TOP 5 tho.' While Minaj has no problem calling out the 4:44 rapper by name, she previously denied throwing shots at Bey after being accused of referring to the Houston native as a 'robot,' with the rapper calling the claim an 'absolute lie.'
