The best things to do in D.C. this weekend and next week
This week is all about Beyoncé and Independence Day. We have a list of Beyoncé-themed brunches, dance parties and other events happening around town between Thursday and Tuesday, while Independence Day fills the skies with fireworks across the region. We have a whole separate guide to fireworks, ranging from the celebrations on the National Mall to local parades, and even a few ideas if you want to get out of town for the day (or longer). We won't bother duplicating those events here. In this column, we have nearly two dozen things to do on the Fourth, ranging from crab feasts to rooftop soirees to bars offering free hot dogs. But, shockingly, there are still plenty of concerts, DJs, karaoke parties, outdoor movies, talks and day parties on other days that deserve your attention, too.
