Popular Glasgow venue celebrates record-breaking 40th year
The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is celebrating its 40th anniversary by marking a record-breaking year. The popular Glasgow venue has seen unparalleled growth in visitor numbers, revenue, and event diversity. In the 2024–2025 financial year, the SEC hosted 50 exhibitions, with 14 new events added to its most diverse portfolio of events to date. Read more: Talented singer-songwriter announces Glasgow gig The venue also reached record levels of new revenue, driven by a 430 per cent year-on-year increase in new business, contributing to a 35 per cent rise in turnover and a 28 per cent uplift in gross profit. Highlights of the year included 'Beyond Van Gogh', the SEC's longest-running event at 47 days, which captivated 50,000 art lovers with its immersive experience. The UK's largest renewable and low-carbon energy exhibition and conference All-Energy reached a new milestone, achieving its biggest edition to date. The SEC also hosted events of cultural significance, such as the Titanic Exhibition, which highlighted Glasgow's historic connection to the ship, and the Halal Food Festival, which engaged both the local Muslim community and foodies from across the city. The SEC's success is further emphasised by its commitment to sustainability, with the venue achieving Gold Standard in Green Tourism and implementing initiatives like its Sustainable Food Strategy. "Their support, combined with Glasgow's accessible location, has enabled us to attract a diverse audience from over 80 countries to date. 'Paint and sip' classes to be held inside Beyond Van Gogh and Monet immersive experience
Visitors to Beyond Van Gogh and Beyond Monet will have the chance to take part in an exciting programme of activities when the two mesmerising immersive experiences come to Liverpool this summer. Yoga, Pilates, meditation and painting sessions will all be held inside the exhibition space. The immersive experiences will come to Exhibition Centre Liverpool from Tuesday, July 15 to Sunday, August 3. When Beyond Van Gogh was given its UK premiere in Liverpool last year, "yoga among the art" sessions sold out. Special Beyond Yoga sessions will be returning for 2025, with Yogacita Liverpool instructor Lucita Fernandez leading 50-minute classes on the morning of Saturday, July 19 and the evening of Thursday, July 24. New for 2025, there is a chance to take part in Beyond Pilates inside the exhibition, with 50-minute sessions on the evening of Thursday, July 17 and the morning of Saturday, July 26. The mat-based classes will be hosted by the city's DT Pilates. Align Lifestyle will be holding 50-minute sessions for visitors to relax tension and foster mindfulness, connection and restoration. And Beyond Van Gogh producer Annerin Productions has partnered with Paint Away Events to give visitors the chance to paint like Van Gogh and Monet – right inside the immersive experience. Special two-and-a-half-hour Paint and Sip classes will be held on the evenings of Friday, July 18 and Friday, July 25, with participants able to draw inspiration from the breathtaking surroundings to create their own masterpiece in a relaxed and social atmosphere, while enjoying a drink at the same time. The ticket price will include all materials, aprons and a welcome drink, with additional beverages available to purchase at the venue. No artistic experience is necessary. Produced by Annerin Productions and Paquin Entertainment Group, Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience brings together more than 300 of the post-impressionist icon's paintings blended with cutting-edge technology and a specially curated musical soundtrack to tell the story of one of history's most influential artists, with people able to wander through iconic works - including The Starry Night, Sunflowers and Terrace of a Café at Night - as they came alive around them. Exciting new features for 2025 will be announced in the coming weeks. Beyond Monet: The Immersive Experience has been seen by thousands of people at venues across North America, and now it is coming to the UK, following in Beyond Van Gogh's footsteps by being premiered in Liverpool. Van Gough, Monet on display at Greenville Convention Center
GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA)—The immersive experience Beyond Van Gogh/Beyond Monet is produced by the Paquin Entertainment Group. It uses projection technology to show the works of Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gough. You can see the shows back to back or separately. Each show lasts about 40-50 min but you can stay as long as you like. Organizers said it's family-friendly with bright and colorful art set to music. There are more than 300 artworks from Van Gough and 400 from Monet, including some of the most recognizable 'Water Lilies,' 'Impressions, Sunrise,' and 'Poppies at Argenteuil,' and from Van Gough's Starry Night, Sunflowers, Almond Blossom, and more.
