Doc murder case: Victim was in touch with wife of accused, had ‘warned' her before death
Hisar: In the ongoing investigation into the murder of 25-year-old Dr Bhawana Yadav from Rajasthan, a series of leaked chats revealed disturbing details about her final days. According to messages submitted to the Hisar police , Dr Bhawana was in frequent contact with Nikki, the wife of the accused, Udesh Yadav , after he stopped communicating with her. Sources close to the investigation confirmed that Bhawana began calling Udesh from unknown numbers after he severed contact. When those efforts failed, she began reaching out to Nikki directly through phone calls and WhatsApp messages. In one of the most alarming messages, sent on April 21 — just three days before she was allegedly set on fire—Bhawana wrote to Nikki saying, "I am not well, I will die." Nikki reportedly tried to console and calm her down during their exchanges. In a statement to the media, Nikki claimed that Bhawana was related to her husband through his maternal uncle's side. Talks of a relationship between Bhawana and Udesh began as far back as 2018. However, Bhawana's mother, Gayatri, sent her abroad to pursue an MBBS degree shortly afterward. Despite the relationship not materialising, Bhawana continued to harbour feelings for Udesh, and expressed her desire to marry him. Nikki revealed that Bhawana even spoke with Udesh's mother, Munesh, who reportedly gave her 15 days to persuade Bhawana's family. However, Bhawana's mother opposed the match, allegedly calling Udesh "just a clerk" and unfit for her daughter. Nikki added that Udesh informed her about his past with Bhawana before their own engagement in March 2021. The couple married in Dec 2021, and now have a one-and-a-half-year-old son. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Google Brain Co-Founder Andrew Ng, Recommends: Read These 5 Books And Turn Your Life Around Blinkist: Andrew Ng's Reading List Undo According to Nikki, Bhawana resumed contact recently, insisting she was going through depression and only wanted to speak to Udesh as a friend. However, Udesh ultimately blocked her. As per the FIR, Bhawana travelled to Delhi on April 21 to write an exam. On April 24, Udesh informed Bhawana's mother that she was burned and was admitted to Soni Hospital in Hisar. Her family rushed to the hospital and later shifted her to a facility in Jaipur due to her critical condition, where she succumbed to her injuries the same night. Hisar Police arrested Udesh on May 1 and produced him in court the next day. He was remanded to police custody for three days. The investigation remains ongoing.
