On CRSU foundation day, Hry min defends Barala appointment

1 2 Jind: During a ceremony to mark the 12th Foundation Day of Chaudhary Ranbir Singh University (CRSU) in Jind on Thursday, Haryana education minister Mahipal Dhanda defended the state govt's move to appoint sexual harassment accused Vikas Barala as a top law officer. "Is it a crime to be the son of a politician today? He studied hard and progressed on his own. This is like saying that the children of politicians shouldn't do any work at all," he said. "Just because someone has a case in court, does that mean they should not be allowed to work? Can a politician's son not study or get a job?" he added. On former CM Bhupinder Hooda's allegations about the closure of courses at Jind University, minister Dhanda responded that perhaps Hooda does not realise that times have changed. "He needs to come out of his old mindset. The BJP govt will make changes wherever required under the New Education Policy. The courses Hooda is talking about are the ones with no student enrolment." Highlighting achievement of the university, the minister said, "I take pride in the fact that this university is playing a significant role in shaping the future of the youth and contributing to the progress of the nation and the state. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like You Won't Believe the Price of These Dubai Apartments Binghatti Developers FZE Get Offer Undo CRSU is a vibrant example of education, culture, sports, science, and tradition.
