‘We're expecting a dog fight,' says Rebels head coach ahead of area round match up
MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ) – Fresh off a Bi-District Championship series win last week, the Midland Legacy Rebels will face off against Mansfield Legacy in the area round. We caught up with Head Coach Eric Garcia on the upcoming match-up and what he looks forward to. 'I think competing against a team like Mansfield this week hopefully will bring that out in us and get us to that point,' says Head Coach Erik Garcia. 'We're expecting a dog fight you know, when we get down there. This time of year, that's usually what you're going to get. You just play your best baseball at the right time, and you know you've got a chance to possibly play for a state championship down the road.'
