Yashin looks like a keeper following Sagaro success

Coltrane was nudged into the lead passing the two-furlong marker, but was soon challenged by 11-1 shot Yashin, who was a high-class operator for Jessica Harrington before changing hands for 80,000 guineas in October and looks a shrewd purchase judged on this one-length success under Callum Shepherd. Safe hands from @CallumSheppy! 🙌 Yashin springs a surprise in the Longines Sagaro Stakes, storming past Coltrane to score first time out for @MikeBellRacing at @Ascot… — At The Races (@AtTheRaces) April 30, 2025 Bell said: 'He'd been working well and galloped at Chelmsford the other day and we were very happy with him. He went to Ascot in very good form, so we were hopeful of a very good run. 'He's been in very good form since we've had him, so we were hopeful he would be involved definitely.' Paddy Power cut Yashin to 8-1 from 33-1 for the Chester Cup on Friday week (May 9), but Bell – who won the 2017 Gold Cup with Big Orange – is leaning towards keeping his powder dry for Royal Ascot. 'I'll talk to the owners. Chester would obviously be tempting with the penalty, as clearly he's going to go up significantly more than 3lb, but my gut feeling is we'll wait and maybe look at taking on Kyprios at the big meeting,' the Fitzroy House handler added. 'We didn't enter him for the Gold Cup, but we discussed it beforehand and the winner of the Sagaro gets a free nomination. We said if we didn't win the Sagaro, we didn't want to run in the Gold Cup anyway and if he did win, we'd get the free nomination, so we put some thought into it and he could well go there. 'We've won the Gold Cup before and we'd like to win it again.'

Yashin looks like a keeper following Sagaro success

Successful in the last two renewals of the Group Three event, the Andrew Balding-trained Coltrane was a 4-6 favourite to complete the hat-trick and appeared perfectly positioned for much of the two-mile contest as he sat in the slipstream of Divine Comedy, who set a sedate pace in front. An open letter to Bob Kesling, the Voice of the Vols

Dear Mr. Kesling, I am writing to thank you for everything you have done for fans of the Big Orange everywhere and to congratulate you on your retirement. I am a lifelong Vol raised in Knoxville by two UT graduates. I am a 2016 graduate of the UT College of Communications and a 2019 graduate of the UT College of Law, where I met my wonderful fianceé, Addison. After graduation in 2019, I moved to Nashville to be with her, and I am beyond happy to say that we'll be married later this month. Moving away from my lifelong home had its challenges and hardships, but hearing a familiar voice call games for my favorite football and basketball teams went a long way. So as a beautiful new chapter begins for me, I just wanted to tell you that I will always fondly remember the chapter where Saturdays were narrated by Bob Kesling. I wish you and your family the best in all that you do. Hong Kong restaurateur to sell Sha Tin building amid retail distress

Published: 4:43pm, 11 Feb 2025 The chairman of one of Hong Kong's largest restaurant chains is selling an industrial building in Sha Tin as a highly competitive retail environment takes a toll on the hospitality sector. The owner of Big Orange, a nine-storey building in Tai Wai, on Monday appointed property consultancy CBRE to hold a public tender for the asset in April. The 236,148 sq ft building with its distinctive orange facade was acquired in 2013 by Hansun Investments for HK$498 million (US$64 million), according to government records. Yeung Wai, the chairman of Fulum Group, is listed as a director of Hansun. Big Orange was connected to several main roads, said Reeves Yan, executive director and head of capital markets at CBRE Hong Kong. 'Whether driving to Hong Kong Island or various major areas in Kowloon, it is within a 20-minute drive, making it an extremely strategic core location,' he added. 03:39 Shop occupancy recovers in Hong Kong, but vacant stores still visible across the city Shop occupancy recovers in Hong Kong, but vacant stores still visible across the city The disposal comes at a particularly challenging time.
