HPD's After School Bash moved to 5 p.m. at Big Spring Park
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — The Huntsville Police Department's After School Bash event has been moved to 5 p.m. due to the threat of severe weather.
At 1:44 p.m., it was announced that due to the potential for strong to severe storms in the area, the start time for the After School Bash was moved to 5 p.m. at Big Spring Park, 200 Church Street. It was originally scheduled for 4 p.m.
HPD and Free 2 Teach are set to team up for this community event, 'where fun meets philanthropy to stock classrooms with school supplies for local teachers.'
The event is said to feature a lineup of activities such as live music and entertainment, bounce houses, food trucks, police activity zones and more!
As part of the festivities, attendees are encouraged to help 'Stuff the Squad Car' with donated school supplies, all of which will be distributed by Free 2 Teach.
