Senior 1B Sam Busch named Spartan baseball's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award recipient
Michigan State baseball made the Big Ten Tournament for the first time since 2023, having a successful season in regards to team success, earning several postseason awards.
Joseph Dzierwa was named as the Big Ten Pitcher of the Year, as well as being named to the Big Ten's first team All-Big Ten. Following that announcement, Ryan McKay was named to the Big Ten's second team. Now, a third Spartan, senior infielder Sam Busch was recognized by the Big Ten.
Busch was named as the Big Ten's Sportsmanship Award recipient. The senior co-captain was given the award during the Big Ten's award reveal.
In the 2025 season, Busch had a .289 batting average to go along with a team high 15 home runs. He had a .383 on base percentage to go along with a .588 slugging percentage.
