Phone Tap: The Government Intercepted Over 20K Of Big U's Calls

Black America Web Featured Video CLOSE Source: Leon Bennett / Getty It seems Big U has been on the federal government's radar for some time. Prosecutors have revealed they have intercepted over 20,000 of his calls and more. As per Complex, the entertainment manager might have the fight of his life on his hands when it comes to his upcoming RICO trial. In a recent court filing, the federal government has disclosed that they have whopping amount of material on Big U. In their possession are '20,000 intercepted audio calls, as well as numerous surreptitious audio and video recordings.' One of the calls allegedly captures Big U telling someone that he is still very much an active gang member, which contradicts his public persona as a community organizer. 'I'm retired, ni**a? Activist? I'll pull up on your block right now, ni**a, and show up and show out, ni**a what happened to the last ni**as that thought I was retired,' Big U said. Other pieces of evidence are tied to other reporting, investigative work, search warrants, photographs and other items that add up to about to 60 gigabytes of material. In order to properly prepare for the looming trial his six co-defendants have requested that it be postponed until May 4, 2026. Big U on the other hand wants to proceed with the original scheduled date. On March 19, Eugene Henley Jr. was charged with conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act. More specifically the feds say he and the Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crips engaged in robbery, extortion, fraud and the alleged murder of a upcoming rapper. 'The RICO charges against Mr. Henley and his associates reflect a pattern of crimes that runs the gambit from extortion to tax evasion, all under the umbrella of a well-organized criminal organization led by Mr. Henley,' said Special Agent in Charge Tyler Hatcher, IRS Criminal Investigation, Los Angeles Field Office. 'Additionally, Mr. Henley allegedly duped the County of Los Angeles by running a charitable organization that promoted anti-gang solutions while continuing criminal activity that was directly contrary to his charity. IRS-CI is proud to partner with fellow law enforcement organizations to investigate these criminal organizations to protect our communities from further harm.' Big U has pleaded not guilty to the charges. SEE ALSO Phone Tap: The Government Intercepted Over 20K Of Big U's Calls was originally published on

Big U, alleged Los Angeles gang leader pleads not guilty

An alleged longtime Los Angeles gang leader, known as Big U, pleaded not guilty in a downtown courthouse Tuesday to charges contained in a 43-count federal indictment, including racketeering, fraud, extortion, and embezzlement. Eugene Henley Jr., the so-called rap "godfather," surrendered to authorities last month in connection with a federal complaint that also linked him to the 2021 killing of an aspiring rapper in Las Vegas. According to federal prosecutors, Henley is a leader of the Hyde Park-based Rollin' 60s Neighborhood Crips and runs a vast, "mafia-like" organization that has committed crimes such as murder, trafficking and COVID fraud. Six other people allegedly linked to the case were also arrested. The 58-year-old's charges include a single count of conspiracy to violate the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act, along with multiple counts of robbery, extortion, wire fraud and embezzlement, among other charges. Prosecutors accuse Henley of killing Las Vegas rapper Rayshawn Williams in Jan. 2021, saying the victim, who had been signed by Henley's Uneek Music record label, had recorded a defamatory song about Henley. Henley allegedly killed him, "then dragged the victim's body off Interstate 15 in Las Vegas and left it in a ditch," according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Henley is also accused of defrauding famous athletes, including former Laker Shaquille O'Neal, by persuading them to donate money to charity, then allegedly pocketing the funds himself. He is also accused of fraudulently obtaining funding from the Gang Reduction and Youth Development program supervised by the L.A. Mayor's Office. Authorities also allege Henley submitted a fraudulent application for a COVID-19 pandemic relief loan in which he claimed that Uneek Music was operating at a $200,000 profit in 2019 despite operating at a $5,000 loss that year, which should have disqualified it from loan eligibility. Henley served 13 years in prison for trying to steal cocaine from an undercover sheriff's deputy in 1991. His son, Daiyan Henley, is a linebacker entering his second season with the Los Angeles Chargers. Henley was instrumental in launching the career of the late Los Angeles rapper Nipsey Hussle, who was shot to death in South Los Angeles in 2019. If convicted, Henley could face a sentence of hundreds of years in prison, prosecutors said.

Adam22 Says He Wasn't Arrested, Feds Wanted Big U Letter Regarding Nipsey Hussle

Adam22 says he was NOT picked up by the feds, contrary to reports, but he tells us Uncle Sam paid him a visit regarding the Big U case and Nipsey Hussle's murder. We got the "No Jumper" podcast host at Bob Hope Airport in Burbank and we asked him about Wack 100 claiming he was arrested by federal agents. Adam22 says the feds talked to him about the Big U case and they wanted to get their hands on a cease-and-desist letter Big U sent Adam's podcast regarding an episode where Luce Cannon claimed Big U had prior knowledge of Nipsey's death before the fatal March 2019 shooting. Big U helped launch Nipsey's rap career and in his federal RICO case, the indictment claims Big U is heard on wiretapped calls saying he was "bigger" than Nipsey and disciplined Hussle before his murder. Adam22 says it's pretty interesting to find out the feds are interested in Big U's potential connections to Nipsey's death ... and, frankly, he's not wrong.

Wack 100 claims Adam22 arrested by feds after teasing RICO update on Instagram: "They came and got him"

Music executive Wack 100 claimed that Adam22, host of the No Jumper podcast, was arrested by federal authorities—just one day after teasing a 'crazy update' related to the ongoing RICO investigation involving rapper Bricc Baby and others. The claim came during a recent No Jumper podcast episode, where Wack 100 explained Adam's sudden absence. "He was supposed to go live today, right? They came and got him this morning. They doubled back. We tried to have him out," Wack told the No Jumper team over the phone. He added that he contacted his lawyer, saying, "Tryna get him down there so Adam don't be doing no telling, bro." The arrest has not been officially confirmed, but Wack's claim aligns with an Instagram post Adam22 shared earlier. In the post, the podcaster stated that federal officers had visited his home. 'I made it 41 years into this life before I had involvement, conversations with federal agents,' Adam22 wrote. He said the agents asked about individuals involved in the case, including Bricc Baby, and he jokingly added, 'When they showed up, I was wearing a red Nike tech.' Adam22 also hinted that he would provide details later on the podcast, saying he saved the story for content instead of discussing it live. However, his failure to appear on the latest episode fuelled fan speculation that something more serious had occurred. Wack 100 insisted Adam22 'ain't got no nothing' and was not a flight risk. He also denied involvement in the case himself, pushing back on allegations that he had helped law enforcement. Responding to Big U's accusation that Wack knew about the raid beforehand, he said, 'Oh, you a goofy. How the f*ck you didn't know?' As of now, neither Adam22 nor federal authorities have issued a public statement confirming any arrest.

Adam22 claims federal agents visited him after No Jumper linked to Big U RICO case

Hip-hop podcaster Adam22 has revealed that federal agents recently visited his home following the mention of his No Jumper podcast in the ongoing Big U RICO case. The indictment, which led to the arrests of figures like Big U, Luce Cannon, and Bricc Baby, references multiple appearances on No Jumper, raising questions about the podcaster's potential involvement. Taking to Instagram Live, Adam22 claimed, 'The feds came knocking on my door today,' adding that it was his first-ever interaction with federal agents. He teased further details but withheld specifics, promising to address the situation in an upcoming episode of No Jumper. The comment section on his post quickly filled with speculation and jokes, with some suggesting that Adam22 has been cooperating with authorities. However, he denied any direct connection to the case, emphasizing that while he employs individuals from street backgrounds, he is not involved in illegal activities. 'People saying I'm the reason Bricc got caught up—f*ck outta here,' he said. 'I know people from the streets, but what they do off-mic has nothing to do with me.' As the case unfolds, Adam22 remains under scrutiny, with fans and critics awaiting his next podcast episode for further clarification.
