All-New KTM 160 Duke Launched In India, Price Starts At Rs 1.85 Lakh

Last Updated: The KTM 160 Duke gets its heart from a downsized version of the 200 Duke's engine. KTM has officially launched the all-new 160 Duke in India at Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Positioned above the Yamaha MT-15 V2 by nearly R 15,000, this streetfighter justifies its price tag with extra power, advanced features, and KTM's signature aggressive styling. Performance At the core is a 164.2cc liquid-cooled engine, derived from the 200 Duke's motor. It produces 18.74 bhp at 9,500 rpm and 15.5 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm, as per Bikewale. These numbers not only outshine the MT-15 V2 but also arrive earlier in the rev range, promising a more spirited ride. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and comes with an assist and slipper clutch for smoother shifts. Underpinnings The 160 Duke shares its chassis with the 200 Duke, featuring a steel trellis frame, 43mm WP upside-down forks at the front, and a preload-adjustable WP monoshock at the rear. Braking power comes from a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, supported by dual-channel ABS for added safety. KTM has packed the 160 Duke with LED lighting, dual-channel ABS with off-road mode, Bluetooth connectivity via the KTM Connect App, turn-by-turn navigation, and call/music control. To maintain a competitive price, it uses an LCD instrument cluster instead of the TFT display found on bigger Duke models. Colours The bike is offered in three color options namely Electronic Orange, Atlantic Blue, and Silver Metallic Matte. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. KTM Teases All-New 160 Duke For India, Launch Expected This Month

Last Updated: Built specifically for India, the 160 Duke will use a 160cc, liquid-cooled engine based on the existing 200 Duke's platform. KTM is expected to use the second-generation 200 Duke platform for the new model. KTM has officially teased its much-awaited 160 Duke on social media, confirming that the launch is just around the corner. Positioned below the popular 200 Duke, this new model will be the most affordable entry in KTM's India line-up. What's Under the Tank? While official specs remain under wraps, the 160 Duke is expected to use a 160cc liquid-cooled engine derived from the 200 Duke's platform. True to KTM's performance-first reputation, this bike is likely to offer more punch than its closest rivals, including the Yamaha MT-15 V2. As per Bikewale, to keep costs competitive, KTM will reportedly use the second-generation 200 Duke platform. This move should help the bike maintain an aggressive price point without compromising on performance. What Will It Look Like? Design-wise, expect the 160 Duke to closely resemble the second-gen 200 Duke – sharp lines, muscular stance, and streetfighter styling. However, KTM will likely give it exclusive colour schemes and graphics to make it stand out. This bike will be India-specific, built with local market preferences in mind. It is expected to be priced around Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Price and Launch Timeline The KTM 160 Duke will be positioned as an affordable performance bike, with an expected price tag of around ₹1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). It is likely to hit showrooms in the second half of August 2025. view comments Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. KTM 390 Adventure X To Be Replaced By 390 Adventure Plus: Report

KTM India launched the latest generation of the 390 Adventure along with the 390 Adventure X in February 2025. After a few months of being on sale, reports have surfaced claiming that the Austrian manufacturer is planning a revamp for the 390 Adventure lineup. It suggests that the 390 Adventure X will be discontinued in India to be replaced by the 390 Adventure Plus. The new variant with the "Plus" suffix in its name will add more features to the motorcycle. The report from Bikewale suggests that KTM has already stopped accepting bookings for the 390 Adventure X across the nation. This comes before any official announcement of the introduction of the 390 Adventure Plus variant. However, the official India website of the manufacturer still has the 390 Adventure X listed on it for a price of Rs 2.91 lakh (ex-showroom). Coming back to the KTM 390 Adventure Plus, it will come with an IMU-based electronics package, which will be borrowed from the standard 390 Adventure. The list of features will also include switchable cornering ABS, switchable cornering traction control, and cruise control. Mechanically, it will be the same as the Adventure X. The KTM 390 Adventure Plus is unlikely to get an adjustable suspension setup. It will continue to have the same standard setup that it has now. The braking system will continue to be the same with the bike riding on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear alloy wheels. It will continue to have the road-biased characteristics of the outgoing bike, but it will still be capable of going off-road. With the addition of features, the bike will get a hike in its price, and based on the report, it will be launched in a few weeks in the country.
