Howell, Brighton will choose councilmembers this fall. Here's all current candidates
LIVINGSTON COUNTY — Two of the biggest cities in Livingston County will choose new local leaders on Nov. 4.
We've compiled a list of candidates who filed by the April deadline. Write-in candidates have until October to file their intent to run. Proposals for the primary in August aren't due until May 13, and proposals for November aren't due until August 12. There are currently no proposals filed for either election.

There are three seats on Howell City Council up for grabs. Term length is four years. The candidates include:

Stacy Rutledge
Howell residents will also be voting for a new mayor in November. As of now, there's only one candidate: Councilman Nikolas Hertrich, whose term ends in 2027. If elected, his position will need to be filled by appointment. The mayorship has a term of two years.
There are two positions up for grabs on the Howell Board of Review, which reviews property tax assessments. Term length is four years. The candidates include:

Four seats on Brighton City Council are up for grabs in November. Term length is four years for the top three vote-getters and two years for the fourth top vote-getter. The candidates include:
