Alex Warren's ‘Ordinary' Tops Both Billboard Global Charts
Alex Warren's 'Ordinary' is the biggest song in the world, as it adds a third week at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200, while topping the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. survey for the first time. The Billboard Global 200 and Global Excl. U.S. charts, which began in September 2020, rank songs based on streaming and sales activity culled from more than 200 territories around the world, as compiled by Luminate. The Global 200 is inclusive of worldwide data and the Global Excl. U.S. chart comprises data from territories excluding the United States. More from Billboard Kendrick Lamar & SZA's 'Luther' Rules Billboard Hot 100 for 13th Week Saweetie Locks in Debut Australian Tour Dates French Police Recover Bust From Jim Morrison's Grave, 37 Years After It Was Stolen Chart ranks are based on a weighted formula incorporating official-only streams on both subscription and ad-supported tiers of audio and video music services, as well as download sales, the latter of which reflect purchases from full-service digital music retailers from around the world, with sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites excluded from the charts' calculations. 'Ordinary' leads the Global 200 with 69.5 million streams (up 5% week-over-week) and 12,000 sold (up 6%) worldwide May 9-15. The entire Global 200's top five holds in place from a week earlier: 'Die With a Smile' at No. 2, after 18 weeks at No. 1 starting last September (second only to the 19 weeks at No. 1 for Mariah Carey's 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' since the chart began); ROSÉ and Bruno Mars' 'APT.' at No. 3, after 12 weeks at No. 1 starting in November; Billie Eilish's 'Birds of a Feather' at No. 4, following three weeks at No. 1 last August; and Benson Boone's 'Beautiful Things' at No. 5, after it logged seven weeks on top beginning in February 2024. Elsewhere in the Global 200's top 10, The Weeknd and Playboi Carti's 'Timeless' soars 28-10, thanks to a 35% surge to 37.9 million streams worldwide after a remix adding Doechii was released May 9. The song peaked at No. 3 upon its debut last October. 'Ordinary' ascends 2-1 on Global Excl. U.S. with 49.1 million streams (up 7%) and 5,000 sold (up 2%) outside the U.S. As on the Global 200, Warren earns his first leader on Global Excl. U.S. 'Die With a Smile' drops to No. 2 after 17 weeks atop Global Excl. U.S. starting last September. Only 'APT.' by ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, which holds at No. 3, has led longer: 19 weeks, beginning in November. 'Birds of a Feather' rises 5-4 on Global Excl. U.S., following three weeks at No. 1 last August, and JENNIE's 'like JENNIE' slips 4-5, after hitting No. 3. The Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. Joe Rogan celebrates daughter's birthday with ‘delicious' Sabrina Carpenter cake; netizens react: ‘This is scary'
'Is it real or cake?' — the viral question that's become a staple of Internet curiosity usually applies to shoes, furniture, or even household items. But things just got taken to a whole new level. This time, it wasn't just a cake shaped like an object, it was a full-blown hyper-realistic cake of pop star Sabrina Carpenter. UFC commentator and podcast giant Joe Rogan revealed the cake. In a move that surprised fans and followers alike, Rogan posted photos of the cake that looked strikingly like the Espresso singer. It wasn't a joke or a deepfake, it was an actual cake. For his daughter's birthday, Rogan commissioned the life-like confection from Sideserf Cake Studio, a bakery known for its mind-blowing creations. 'Shout out to @sideserfcakes for the incredible @sabrinacarpenter cake they made for my daughter's birthday. Incredible delicious art!' he wrote in the caption. And just like that, the Internet exploded. A post shared by Joe Rogan (@joerogan) As usual, reactions were mixed. Some were amazed by the attention to detail. Others, not so much. Comments ranging from admiration to confusion, and straight-up roasting, came in. One person said, 'This is easily one of the weirdest things Rogan has ever posted. I legitimately thought that was Hilary Clinton. It barely looks like Sabrina.' Another user wrote, 'Sabrina should get a Joe Rogan cake for her Dad's birthday.' A third person commented, 'Sabrina carpenter cake posted by joe rogan was not on my bingo card.' And then there were those who just found the whole thing… well, unsettling. 'Kinda cryptic,' one fan wrote. A few couldn't unsee the odd expression on the cake's face, especially the eyes, which drew some mockery. In 2024, Rogan surprised his followers by posting a clip of Carpenter's hit track Espresso on his social media. Given that Rogan rarely shares clips other than his podcast, the shoutout stood out. At the time, the song was dominating charts and conversations globally. The song not only topped the Billboard Global 200 and climbed to number three on the Billboard Hot 100, but it also earned Carpenter her first MTV VMA win, taking home the coveted Song of the Year award.

Lady Gaga Blocked From An All-Time Record By Music's Hottest Newcomer
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars scored one of the biggest global hits in recent memory with "Die With a Smile," and they have the chart records to prove it. The tune lived at No. 1 on both of Billboard's worldwide rankings for months, but all successful runs must come to an end eventually. The Grammy-winning collaboration recently stepped aside from the throne on the Billboard Global 200, and it has also now moved on from the top of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. as well. It looked for a while like the cut might have been on its way to making history and breaking an all-time record, but its impressive winning streak has finally come to an end—at least for now. "Die With a Smile" earned 17 stays atop the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., including the past six frames in a row. This week, it slips to No. 2, making way for a newcomer who has just scored the biggest hit around the world. "Ordinary" by Alex Warren steps up to the summit on this ranking for the first time. The track reached No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 several weeks ago but had been kept from the top spot on the list that excludes all streaming and sales activity from America… until now. The two tunes swap spaces, and Gaga and Mars may not be able to recover. "Die With a Smile" ranks as the track with the second-most weeks at No. 1 in the history of the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. It is just two frames away from tying the all-time record — which Mars also claims with another musician. His duet with Blackpink singer Rosé, "Apt.," collected a total of 19 stays in the penthouse and was in direct competition with "Die With a Smile" for a long stretch of that time. While it's possible that "Die With a Smile" could return to the top, "Ordinary" has some real momentum behind it. Global audiences appear to still be waking up to the track, and it could lead for quite some time. That said, the throwback-sounding duet likely won't disappear anytime soon. In fact, it could remain inside the top 10 for several more months, as it has already been living in that region since last fall. This is not the first time that "Die With a Smile" has been dethroned on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. The tune first reached No. 1 in early September 2024. It reigned for two months before "Apt." replaced it. Throughout 2025, those two tracks have traded positions multiple times.

Creedence Clearwater Revival's Chart Comeback Includes Both Albums And Songs
Creedence Clearwater Revival's Chronicle reenters the Top Album Sales chart, while "Have You Ever ... More Seen the Rain" returns to the Billboard Global 200. UNSPECIFIED - CIRCA 1970: Photo of Creedence Clearwater Revival Photo by MichaelConsidering the fact that Creedence Clearwater Revival only released albums for about half a decade, the legacy the band has left behind is much greater than many other acts that were together for much longer. The rockers almost always hold space on the charts in the United States, appearing sometimes on Billboard tallies dedicated to albums and other times landing on lists that focus on songs as well. This week, Creedence Clearwater Revival returns not only to multiple rankings, but appears on different tallies with a pair of hugely successful titles. The band reappears highest on the Top Album Sales chart, the weekly list of the bestselling full-lengths and EPs throughout America. On that ranking, the group comes in at No. 50 with Chronicle: The 20 Greatest Hits. That set, which previously topped out at No. 10, has now spent well over a decade as one of the bestselling releases in the country, and it casually slips away and then reappears with regularity. In the past tracking frame throughout the U.S., Chronicle sold just over 2,000 copies, according to Luminate. Chronicle's performance on the Billboard charts is mixed this frame. As it returns to the Top Album Sales list, it rises on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums tally, holds steady on the Top Rock Albums ranking, and declines slightly on the Billboard 200. Just one of Creedence Clearwater Revival's tracks appears on a Billboard chart — and only barely. "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" reenters the Billboard Global 200 as it officially becomes one of the 200 most-consumed tracks all around the world. The cut narrowly manages to find space on the list, breaking back in at No. 199. If it can hold on just a while longer — only two more weeks — "Have You Ever Seen the Rain" will become Creedence Clearwater Revival's first track to spend a full year on the Billboard Global 200. One of just two tunes by the band to appear anywhere on the list, it already stands as the group's highest-rising win, having peaked at No. 92. Only "Fortunate Son" has also landed on the list, and it only spent one frame in second-to-last place in the summer of 2024 before disappearing.
