Young and the Restless Spoilers August 4: Why Won't Adam Obey Victor?
Key Takeaways: Victor Newman returns to Genoa City and immediately clashes with Adam over his decision not to destroy Billy with Newman Media. Chelsea reveals a secret about Cane to Lily, after previously convincing Adam not to attack Billy. Cane forms an alliance with Billy, Phyllis, and another surprising individual, setting him up against Victor. The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, August 4, prove that Victor, back in Genoa City, is a Victor mad at Adam. It's good to know that his recent traumatic experience didn't change our old Vic an iota. Victor Loses Patience With Adam Adam (Mark Grossman) scaled an entire mountain—both ways—in order to bring important corporate news to his family trapped in France. Victor (Eric Braeden) thanked him. But now that he's back in Genoa City, it's: What have you done for me lately? Who cares that Adam held down the professional fort while they were all gone, or that he was Victoria's (Amelia Heinle) only family support after Cole's (J. Eddie Peck) death? The important thing is that Adam decided—all by himself, with no fatherly input—not to destroy Billy (Jason Thompson). How could he? How dare he? Such insubordination will not be tolerated—you got that? MORE: Find out what happens next week on Y&R. Chelsea Shares a Secret With Lily But Adam didn't decide not to humiliate Billy on his own. It was actually Chelsea's (Melissa Claire Egan) idea. She batted her beautiful eyes at him, and Adam couldn't resist. While Adam gets tongue-lashed by Victor, Chelsea is catching up with Lily (Christel Khalil). Chelsea knows something about Cane (Billy Flynn) that Lily doesn't. Will she spill? And what will she ask for in return? Cane Forms A New Alliance Cane is back in Genoa City, too. He's made enemies of Victor, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Nick (Joshua Morrow), Sharon (Sharon Case), Jack (Peter Bergman), Diane (Susan Walters), Kyle (Michael Mealor), and Audra (Zuleyka Silver). But Billy and Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) are more intrigued than ever. So he's got them on his side. As well as one more surprising person. Now we've got a party! Will his new alliances be enough to take on the great Victor Newman? (Oh, who are we kidding, of course not!) WATCH THIS: Soap Hub Says dives into all the soap chaos. Solve the daily Crossword

Is Billy Putting His Eggs in the Wrong Basket After August 1 Young and the Restless?
Billy is doing that thing again. He's letting his stubborn streak do the steering. After the August 1 episode of Young and the Restless, fans are screaming at their screens for good reason. Jack has officially pulled the plug on Abbott Communications, but instead of taking a step back, Billy is doubling down. And the partner he's chosen to roll with? Cane Ashby. Yep. You read that right. Billy's New Partner Could Cost Him Everything Cane (Billy Flynn), the man with a money trail Diane (Susan Walters), and everyone else, is suddenly very interested in, is now Billy's (Jason Thompson) new business bestie. And honestly? This alliance is raising more eyebrows than a Genoa City wedding. Weren't they practically enemies when Cane left town? This doesn't seem right…right? Let's break it down. Jack's (Peter Bergman) departure should've been Billy's cue to reevaluate. But no, he's pushing full steam ahead with Cane, who has been mostly MIA the past few years and is now mysteriously stacked with cash. If that doesn't scream red flag, what does? WATCH THIS: SoapHub Says dives into all the soap chaos! Billy's decision to team up with Cane isn't just bold, it's borderline reckless. Cane's reputation isn't exactly squeaky clean, and everyone snooping around his finances should be setting off every alarm bell. But Billy? He's ignoring all that, acting like this is some genius strategic pivot instead of a potential disaster waiting to happen. Is Billy Walking Into Cane's Trap? What makes it worse is Billy's motivation. Is he really trying to prove he can hold his own in the business world? Or is this another ego-driven attempt to step out from under Jack's shadow? Either way, it feels like he's playing checkers while everyone else is playing chess. Meanwhile, Diane (Susan Walters) is working overtime to uncover what's really going on with Cane, and that's not just casual curiosity. She's on a mission. If Billy thinks he can outmaneuver both Diane and the growing list of corporate landmines, he better think again. READ MORE: Find out what's coming up next week on Y&R. This Cane connection has trap written all over it, and unless Billy starts listening to his gut (or anyone with an ounce of sense) he's going to end up holding the bag when it all goes boom. So yes, Billy might be putting his eggs in the wrong basket…and this time, the cracks are showing before they even hit the ground. Solve the daily Crossword

On The Couch: Is This The Real Reason Jack Wants to Cut Off Billy After July 24 Y&R
On the July 24 episode of The Young and the Restless, Jack lamented to Diane that he's afraid the best thing he can do for Billy now is to stop enabling his stupidity. Which means cutting Billy off completely, no more second, third, fourth, seventeenth chances. Jack thinks he knows why he's doing this. But we know better. Please join Jack—and us—on the couch, for a very thorough head-shrinking. Jack Abbott: Golden Boy There is such a huge age difference between Jack (Peter Bergman) and his brother, Billy (Jason Thompson), that Jack had time to sleep with Billy's mother, Jill (Jess Walton), years before Billy was born. So the two didn't grow up together and didn't have a common childhood experience. Jack accepted Billy, even though he hated Billy's mother (this would be after he slept with her… and during) because Jack always only wanted one thing in life: His father's love and approval. When John (Jerry Douglas) died, Jack stepped in as a quasi-father figure to Billy, not because he wanted to, but because he still wanted to make John proud. MORE: Find out what happened on Y&R today. Billy Abbott: The Unfavorite Billy was John's late-in-life child, but he wasn't Daddy's favorite. Jack was John's firstborn son. But he wasn't Daddy's favorite, either. That honor fell to Ashley (Eileen Davidson), the one Abbot child who wasn't even biologically John's! (Though he never knew that.) Jack resented Billy and thought that if he kept helping him out, then that would prove that Jack may not have been John's best child, but he was his best boy. That still counted for something. READ MORE: Find out what happens next on Y&R. Billy Doesn't Appreciate Jack Except that, no matter how much Jack tried to help Billy, his brother never appreciated it. And if Billy never appreciated it, then it was the same as John not appreciating it. And if John wasn't appreciating it, then why was Jack bothering? He may have told Diane (Susan Walters) that this would be for Billy's own good, but, in reality, this is Jack throwing in the towel. Nothing he does for Billy makes Jack feel better about himself. Which is what this was all about in the first place. Solve the daily Crossword

Slow Burn Sunday: Jack is About to Pull the Ultimate Trick on Billy on Young and the Restless
This week's slow burn goes to Jack and Billy's relationship on The Young and the Restless. Needless to say, Jack isn't happy with Billy. His young brother is at it again. Billy jumped onto Cane's billion-dollar ship and ditched Abbott Communications. Jack could come up with the ultimate plan to stick it to his narcissistic brother. Couldn't Be Anymore Different Jack (Peter Bergman) and Billy (Jason Thompson) couldn't be any more different, and it's not because of the obvious age difference. Sure, they grew up in completely different generations. But Jack and Billy hold some different views, especially when it comes to business. Jack is dedicated to his family just as much as he is to their family operations. READ THIS: Going on the couch with Jack Abbott on Y&R. Meanwhile, Billy treats life like a gambling addiction, which he is. He would rather jump onto a new shiny object than stay committed to his family. Billy gave his top position at Abbott Communications to Sally (Courtney Hope), just so he could go work for the shark Cane (Billy Flynn), who's trying to get a bite out of all of their corporations. Time For Tough Love Billy makes these stupid decisions because his brother allows him to. But it's time for Jack to do something funny. He should start by giving his brother some tough love. From there, he should pull his money out of Abbott Communications and allow it to flop on its own. READ NOW: Could Billy and Phyllis prove Cane's innocence or crash and burn? Jack usually makes the wrong decisions when he's hurt by Billy or disappointed in him. He complains about it, then lets Billy off the hook. But how many times has Billy done this to him? Enough is enough. Jack should finally teach Billy that his actions have consequences. Maybe from there, Billy will have some growth. It's time for the older Abbott brother to cut the cord. But this could be Billy's plan all along. It's as if he's egging Jack to pull out because he wants Cane to help him. We're interested in seeing where this storyline goes. It's time for these brothers to fight to the bitter end. Have a bold soap theory? Email amber@ and you might ignite our next hot topic. Solve the daily Crossword
