Man wanted for potential shooting: RCMP

Athabasca RCMP are asking for the public's help finding a man who's wanted for allegedly shooting a woman in Rochester on Wednesday.
Around 5:38 a.m., police responded to a call that a 44-year-old woman had been shot. When they arrived on scene, a suspect had fled.
The woman was airlifted to the hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
Investigators now have a warrant out for the arrest of Billy Joe Henry Deren, a 46-year-old Athabasca resident.
He is described as:
light complexion
5 feet 5 inches tall
130 pounds
brown hair and blue eyes
Deren is known to drive a black 2014 Ford F150 with Alberta plates BLT1508, say police.
Police also say not to approach him if you see him.
