The Town of Snow Lake has issued a mandatory evacuation notice due to a nearby wildfire.
The town posted the notice Friday, saying any remaining residents need to be out by June 7 at noon.
'You must leave because of the danger to your health and safety,' the evacuation notice reads.
The town, which is about 250 kilometres east of Flin Flon, had been under a voluntary evacuation notice due to the wildfire that is burning near Sherridon. According to the latest fire bulletin on Thursday, that fire is 307,781 hectares in size and out of control.
People are told to bring any forms of identification and money, pets, medications, items for babies, clothing and personal hygiene products.
Before leaving, all residents are asked to turn off their water supply, turn off all lights and appliances, (except the furnace), and lock their homes.
Everyone is to report to Billy Mosienko Arena in Winnipeg.
To stay up to date on the latest information, residents are told to pay attention to Snow Lake's website and Facebook page.
