DENVER (KDVR) — A local burrito joint that started in Golden is expanding across the state, including two new locations in the Denver metro. Bonfire Burritos started as a small yellow trailer in Golden, according to its website. The now owners grew up eating at the trailer until eventually, they took it over. The trailer moved to a bigger food truck to a brick-and-mortar location serving up burritos and bowls with anything from breakfast tacos to house-smoked carne asada burritos. On May 16, Bonfire Burritos said it's hosting a grand opening for a new location in Arvada at 5800 Olde Wadsworth Blvd, and the spot in Olde Town Arvada isn't the only one in the works. The website lists another location in Wheat Ridge as 'coming soon' as well. These Denver-based eateries are some of the newest additions at DIA This is part of the establishment's recent expansion. Bonfire Burritos announced that in April, the beloved burritos were stocked in freezers at King Soopers and My City Market. Birdcall plans to open more fast-food joints in these Denver metro locations

DENVER (KDVR) — Birdcall, a popular Colorado fast-food joint, plans to open up several more locations across the Denver metro in the next few months. After opening in the Five Points neighborhood in 2017, the franchise has been slowly growing across Colorado, Arizona and Texas, serving chicken sandwiches and tenders. Now, it's planning on expanding to three more metro locations, which will begin to open starting at the end of April. Casa Bonita to open reservations for entire summer The newest Birdcall location is set to open on April 21 in Fort Collins at 3300 S College Ave, #110, next to the Foothills shopping mall. The new location will have the Birdcall essentials, like patio seating, a full bar, arcade games and self-serve ordering kiosks, along with a few Colorado touches, like artwork from a Denver-based muralist. The company isn't stopping at Fort Collins. Birdcall said it plans to open as many as five to seven new restaurants over the next few years, including two locations in Centennial and Wheat Ridge. The company's website said the Centennial location is planning to open this summer, while the details for the Wheat Ridge location aren't listed on its website. By 2028, the company said it wants to have as many as 200 locations nationwide. Here are the Colorado chefs, restaurants nominated for James Beard Awards So far, Birdcall has eight open locations in Colorado, including two in Boulder, Cherry Hills, Colorado Springs, Evans, Five Points, Belmar and Union Station.
