'Biglaw biter': Sidley Austin fires summer intern who started biting co-workers, HR representative

Sidley Austin reportedly terminated a summer intern as she started biting people in the Manhattan office. Global law firm Sidley Austin, the company where Barack Obama and Michelle Obama met for the first time, is at the center of a juicy Reddit gossip this week as the company had to fire a summer intern in its Manhattan office as she started biting people. Accounts and even a photo of a bite mark are doing the rounds with social media users lapping up every detail of how it started, how many people she bit altogether etc. Legal news site Above the Law reported the bizarre thing and named the intern 'Biglaw biter' as the identity of the person has not been disclosed. Even Sidley Austin did not confirm the incident either. The bites were not 'in an aggressive, 'we're beefing' way' – but rather, 'a faux-quirky manic pixie dream girl crossed with the Donner party vibe,' the outlet reported. 'Though I've seen pics of the results post-Biglaw Biter, and 'nibble' is probably too tame a word,' the article's author noted. 'It's unclear why so many people let this go before reporting the Biglaw Biter, but the rumor is she's otherwise personable and there was some reluctance to elevate the matter,' the report said. An X post claimed that her officemate started wearing long-sleeved shirts as she was getting bit. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Is it legal? New York Post, however, cited an insider who said only five employed were bitten and everything else is an exaggeration. People who got bitten included other summer interns, associate lawyers and even an HR rep. According to a piece of gossip circulating, nobody was reporting the biting incident for some reason. "Separately, this girl also went to dinner with a group of partners and associates and ordered a $2000 bottle of wine, which also came up in her termination meeting as demonstration poor judgment," a screenshot on X claimed.

Summer intern fired from white-shoe NYC law firm for biting multiple co-workers: ‘Nibble is . . . too tame a word'

A twisted Big Law summer intern was reportedly tossed from an elite Manhattan law firm after repeatedly baring the tooth, the whole tooth and nothing but the tooth. A summer associate at white-shoe firm Sidley Austin began biting colleagues and roaring at them on her first day — and by the time she was canned, her body count had reached double digits, insiders told the legal news site Above the Law. The bites were not 'in an aggressive, 'we're beefing' way' – but rather, 'a faux-quirky manic pixie dream girl crossed with the Donner party vibe,' the outlet reported. Luxury cruise ship's owners reveal expansion of their Greenock programme

A FORMER CalMac ferry that's become a familiar sight in Greenock since being converted to a luxury cruise ship more than 35 years ago is set to offer more sailings on the Clyde next year. The Hebridean Princess's 2026 cruise programme was published on Friday – and includes a series of 'Greenock to Greenock' cruises to start her programme for the year. The ship – built in 1964 for David MacBrayne as the car ferry MV Columba – is offering only one cruise from Greenock this year, an end-of-season tour of the Clyde and its sea lochs in early November. Prices for two travellers for a four-night Clyde cruise on the luxury vessel – which was chartered by the Queen for family holidays in 2006 and 2010 – start at £2,160. The vessel has been operated by Hebridean Island Cruises, based in Skipton, North Yorkshire, since 1989, and is usually laid up each winter in the James Watt Dock. The Hebridean Princess's programme of Greenock cruises will be expanded in 2026. (Image: George Munro) The ship was caught up in tragedy in February 2023 when the Clyde Marine Services tug Biter sank off the East India Harbour as it was assisting the Hebridean Princess towards the James Watt Dock. Both the tug's crew, 65-year-old [[Greenock]] man George Taft and Ian Catterson, 73, from Millport, died after the twin screw conventional tug girted and overturned. The Marine Accident Investigation Branch's report into the tragedy was published in November last year, though none of its findings laid blame directly at the door of the Hebridean Princess's crew or the ship's owners.
