Entire controversy regarding the Beavis and Butt-Head skins in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 explained

Image via Activision. S eason 4 Reloaded started with a bang with the arrival of so many additions like Casual Resurgence modde, new weapons like the Olympia shotgun, Zombies & Grief mode, and many more. Among all of these, the Beavis & Butt-Head crossover was one of the major highlights of this mid-season refresh. Fans initially liked all the new aspects of this event, like new operator skins, game modes, and many more. But as things stand, fans want Activision to implement some immediate changes to the Beavis and Butt-Head operator skins. Why are fans annoyed with Beavis and Butt-Head skins in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone? It's a serious job for the developers to maintain precise and equal hitboxes for all the available skins in a game, irrespective of differing sizes and shapes of the skins. No matter how big or small the form-factor of a skin, the bullet hitting zone should be symmetrical for any skin. But it seems, that is not the case with the Beavis and Butt-Head operator skins in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 and Warzone. Recently a fan named Volanologist2 shared a gameplay video of Black Ops 6 where it's seen that even after firing multiple rounds on the head of an enemy donning the Butt-Head skin, no damage was dealt. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 70歳のエンジニアが高齢者のために開発した爪切りが日本で話題に。 Wmet 今すぐ購入 Undo It's actually pretty frustrating from the player's point of view. This uncanny discrepancy between the hitbox and the actual character model is unfair and can certainly disrupt the gameplay. Umm isn't that a headshot? by u/Volanologist2 in blackops6 Shooter games like Black Ops 6 and Warzone are purely based on precise gunplay, because that is what those games are all about. This criteria is absolutely non-negotiable, but in this case, it seems this aspect is totally neglected. After making the head of the Butt-Head skin large and exaggerated, the developers have failed to match that with the character's hitbox, which is causing all the trouble. Not only that, this asymmetrical character model also nullifies the importance of headshots, which always deals greater damage compared to any other body parts. So, even if this 'meta' continues, then players won't try to hit on the heads of those operator skins, gaining those skin holders an edge over the others. And thus, the Beavis and the Butt-Head operator skins might become a 'pay-to-win' item in the game, unless Activision brings any plausible fix to this issue. Call of Duty HQ reportedly leaving two modern titles behind

Image via Activision Call of Duty HQ is the default launcher or hub app for the modern CoD titles in the market right now. As of now, this app features Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare II & III, and Warzone altogether, under the same roof. This approach was taken by Activision to make everything seamless for the fans, as players will be able to access all the recent Call of Duty games at one place. However, things didn't go the way it was supposed to as the app is hugely infested with bugs, ads, and UI issues. And that is why, Activision might be omitting some modern CoD titles from the app to make it clutter-free. Call of Duty HQ app is reportedly excluding two popular titles According to credible gaming insider Reality, Call of Duty Modern Warfare II and Modern Warfare III are available outside the main Call of Duty HQ app. Initially, it was mandatory to install that app because from there, those two titles would launch. But the insider has claimed that if players redownload those two games, then they can be played directly, without the help of any launcher. However, this potential from Activision was quite evident, keeping in mind Call of Duty HQ's poor reception among the fans. First of all, the app is a huge storage-junker, and when someone downloads all the games in this launcher, then it gets out of hand. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like An engineer reveals: One simple trick to get internet without a subscription Techno Mag Undo Secondly, the HQ app is clubbed with so many titles that its complex UI makes everything confusing for the fans. Not only that, because of the huge load on the single app, the server of Call of Duty HQ often finds it tough to maintain all the games at once, often resulting in server outages. On June 25, fans faced a similar situation where servers of several titles went down and out. Another reason for this chaos is because of different developers for different sub-series in Call of Duty. For example, Warzone and the Modern Warfare series are mainly developed by Infinity Ward. On the other hand, the Black Ops series is taken care of by Treyarch. So, it is obviously going to be tough to stick all the items in a single place by different development teams. Opening a game from a certain launcher is itself a tedious job. First, you have to open the Call of Duty HQ app, then load a list of the available games and find the one you want to play from there. At last, launching the desired one. All of these could have been done in just a double-click on a separate icon on the desktop. So, now it's clearly understood why Activision is taking this potential approach to remove two of the most popular games from the Call of Duty HQ app. However, it can go the other way around too. Recently, many classic CoD titles got updates out of nowhere after more than a decade. So, were those updates implemented to club those titles in the HQ app? Only time will give the answer. Runway's generative AI tools will soon let you create video games with a few prompts

Meta-backed AI startup Runway, valued at around USD 3 billion and best known for its generative AI video tools used in film and content creation, is now setting its sights on a new industry: video games. The company has announced a generative AI platform aimed specifically at AI developers, marking its most significant expansion beyond film and video production to date. The new toolset will allow game developers to generate visual assets like characters, environments, and objects using text prompts. Developers will also be able to edit, remix and fine-tune these assets. According to Runway, the goal is to bring the same speed and creative flexibility it offered filmmakers to game studios. CEO Cristóbal Valenzuela believes the efficiencies seen in film production, where AI significantly shortened timelines for editing and visual effects, can now be replicated in gaming. 'If we can help a studio make a movie 40 per cent faster, then we're probably gonna be able to help developers of games make games faster,' Valenzuela told The Verge. However, gaming presents unique challenges compared to films. Unlike linear video, games are interactive and require tightly integrated logic, physics, and performance optimisation. Runway's move into this space suggests confidence in their ability to bridge the gap between artistic experimentation and the technical demands of game engines like Unity and Unreal Engine. The timing also reflects a broader trend of AI sweeping creative industries. For instance, Activision Blizzard, developer of the mega popular game franchise Call of Duty, disclosed their usage of AI to create visuals for the latest instalment in the franchise, Black Ops 6. As AI-generated content becomes more sophisticated, gaming studios – particularly indie developers – are increasingly exploring AI tools to cut costs and increase the speed of testing phases without sacrificing creativity or quality. Runway's early access program for developers hints at a long-term play to become a foundational creative partner for game developer studios. While Runway hasn't yet revealed how its tools will integrate with popular game engines or software, the company says it is already working with select partners in the gaming industry. Developers can sign up now to try the tools in beta. (This article has been curated by Arfan Jeelany, who is an intern with The Indian Express)

Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded release time

The Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded release time is just around the corner, and it could be a big enough update to keep players entertained until the next major season. The release of Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded is fast approaching, promising an update that could potentially keep gamers engaged until the next big season drop. The upcoming seasonal release will bring a wave of fresh content to Black Ops 6 and Warzone, although it remains to be seen whether it will fully meet players' expectations. Despite Call of Duty 's ongoing efforts to reinvigorate its new era, it seems that only a handful of dedicated fans are eagerly awaiting the forthcoming Janus Towers Zombies map, while others appear to be dipping in and out of the game, their interest piqued by the prospect of the next instalment in the series. Indeed, with the unveiling of Black Ops 7 at this year's summer showcases, promising a mind-bending adventure, it's challenging to muster enthusiasm for the current era. ‌ Nevertheless, Call of Duty is pulling out all the stops with two new multiplayer maps, some Zombies LTMs and a range of Beavis and Butthead-inspired cosmetics set to inject a healthy dose of content into the game. Whether this will suffice to keep fans occupied until Season 5 is yet to be determined, but given the anticipated delay of Season 4 Reloaded, its arrival is a welcome development. ‌ However, we must temper our excitement until the official release time of Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded – which, fortunately, is deviating from its usual schedule to reach players as soon as possible. Stay tuned for when you can dive into the game's new offerings. Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded release time The launch time for Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded is scheduled for 9am PDT / 12pm EDT / 5pm BST on Wednesday, July 2. This news has been officially confirmed by a Call of Duty blog post. This is quite unusual as seasonal updates typically land on Thursdays, but after a week of silence around a date for the content drop, it appears that Activision has brought forward the Black Ops 6 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded release time to keep players satisfied. It's a daring move, but whether or not players are pleased with the number of in-game additions they've received remains to be seen. After all, the game is expected to have completely fizzled out by now – we'll see just how long it can hang on.
