Amazon cordless strimmer is 'light but powerful' and is reduced by £30 now
A strimmer is an essential piece of kit if you want your garden to look on point this summertime Lawn mowing season is in full swing with sunshine and drier days seeing gardeners heading outside to get their grass ship shape. And while lawnmowers are a great invention, they don't work on smaller areas, lawn edges or tackle longer grass and weeds. That's where a strimmer comes in. The site is offering a £30 voucher which can be redeemed against the purchase but it is only valid until tomorrow ( Friday 9 May). You can also save a further 10 per cent on the strimmer bringing the price down even further. Customers who have bought it are impressed. Although there are only two reviews so far for the tool, which comes in grey or a bright orange colour, both are five star recommendations. One said: "For the price paid, I must say that it works very well, light. and easy to use etc". The other agreed and commented: "Ideal for my medium-sized garden. It's light enough to maneouver easily, yet powerful enough to cut taller grass. "The adjustable cutting height is a huge plus, allowing me to adjust the lawn as needed. Very satisfied!" While it appears to be a good buy for a small to medium sized garden, it's unclear how well it would cope with a larger outdoor space. And the cordless aspect of the strimmer, while handy for some as it means no cables to have to navigate, might be off putting to people as they will have to remember to charge it before use. With four types of blades it can strim soft grass, thick weeds and shrubs and is even able to remove moss and rust. The rotating head converts to a vertical edger in seconds meaning you can have a perfectly edged lawn in no time. If you prefer a corded strimmer, Argos is offering a budget option. Their Spear & Jackson Corded Grass Trimmer is now £45, reduced from £62 which is a saving of £17. It has 561 reviews and a rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars. Black and Decker's Electric Strimmer Grass Trimmer 900W is £71.40 on Amazon. Best Product Reviews has rated it as one of the best heavy duty strimmers on the market this year so would be suitable for larger gardens.
