Official: Real Madrid announce latest permanent sale
La Liga giants Real Madrid have late this week announced a fresh departure from the club's personnel ranks. The latest Blancos player to have moved on? Reinier Jesus. The name of Reinier will likely not be all that a familiar one to those to have joined the Real Madrid fanbase over the last few years. This comes with the Brazilian, since his highly-anticipated arrival all the way back in 2020, having failed to carve out a single first-team appearance. Instead, Reinier was farmed out on a series of loans away from Spain's capital. After La Liga 2 outfit Granada opted against attempting to make his signing permanent following a temporary spell this past season, the 23-year-old recently returned to base at Valdebebas. But as alluded to above, his stay has since proven to be a short-lived one. As per a statement across Real Madrid's website and social media platforms: 'Real Madrid C.F. and Clube Atlético Mineiro have agreed to the transfer of our player Reinier. 'Real Madrid would like to express its gratitude and affection for the years he has spent at the club, and wishes him and his family all the best in this new stage of his life.' Conor Laird – GSFN

Real Madrid starlet called up for senior training for 2nd day in a row
A highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the youth ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was on Wednesday afforded a fresh chance to showcase his talents at senior level. The player in question? Thiago Pitarch. The name of youngster Pitarch all of a sudden emerged as a prominent one in the media chatter surrounding Real Madrid on Tuesday. This came after word was forthcoming that the midfielder, fresh off celebrating his 18th birthday, had been called up to train alongside Xabi Alonso's senior Blancos squad. And as alluded to above, Pitarch evidently did enough to impress Real's first-team coaching staff. As much comes amid confirmation that the Spaniard, who spent last season plying his trade with Los Merengues' U19s, was this morning called up to senior duties at Valdebebas once more. Amid something of a shortage of options in his midfield ranks at present, Xabi Alonso appears to have identified Pitarch as a player who could potentially contribute this coming season. Real Madrid youngster now ‘almost sure' to stay with the club for next season
Real Madrid youngster now 'almost sure' to stay with the club for next season A breakthrough member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid looks set to be afforded a first-team berth for the 2025/26 campaign. That's according to the reliable Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, who points towards Gonzalo García as the player in question. Advertisement Youngster Gonzalo has of course seen his name suddenly cast into the spotlight across Spain over the last couple of weeks. This comes after a bout of illness on the part of Kylian Mbappé opened the door for the striker to step into a prominent role at the Club World Cup. And to say that Gonzalo has since taken advantage of this opportunity would be putting it lightly. All told, across three appearances at the tournament to date, the Blancos youth product has racked up two goals and an assist. And his performances across these outings, it would appear, could prove enough to secure for Gonzalo a place in Xabi Alonso's squad for the long-term. Advertisement As per a report from the aforementioned Mario Cortegana, despite claims to the contrary in the media of late: 'Gonzalo Garcia was expected to leave Real Madrid but after a breakout CWC those who know him best at the club are now 'almost sure' he will stay.'
