Rasha Thadani has ‘first Dan rank' in Taekwondo, reveals Raveena
Actress Raveena Tandon revealed that her actress-daughter Rasha Thadani, whom she lovingly calls her 'Lakshmi', has a first Dan rank in Taekwondo. Raveena was in conversation with Farah Khan on the latter's Youtube channel. While giving a tour of her sustainable home, which has furniture made out of recycled wood, Raveena showcased a wall with the belts, which included a red, green and black. Raveena said: 'She is a first Dan First Dan Taekwondo She is a Dan.' In martial arts, a 1st Dan rank signifies the beginning of black belt level. It's the first level of a black belt, indicating that the individual has achieved a certain level of mastery and expertise. Farah said: 'My children also did Judo but after Blue Belt I think they left.' Raveena then showcased her son Ranbir's autograph collection and CDs, which are not available. She also showed a photo frame featuring Rasha's tiny footprints. The frame was put on the door. Revealing the reason, Raveena said: 'Look at my Laxmi's leg. Who is my Laxmi? Rasha. When a girl is born Laxmi is born in the house. If you keep her leg's mark on the door it will be good.' Further into the conversation, Raveena revealed that she was only allowed to go out with Farah, when she was young. 'The first time I went to a disco was when I was allowed, it was with Farah.' Raveena made her acting debut in the 1991 action film 'Patthar Ke Phool.' She established herself with films such as 'Dilwale,' 'Mohra,' 'Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi,' 'Ziddi,' and 'Laadla.' She will next be seen in 'Housefull 5' directed by Tarun Mansukhani. Meanwhile Rasha has recreated her mother's iconic track 'Chalo Ishq Ladaye' with actor Vedang Raina. The 'Sky Force' actor Veer Pahariya also reacted to their collaboration. In the comment section, Veer Pahariya called Rasha Thadani 'Heroine No.1,' expressing admiration towards the newcomer's screen presence and fluid dance moves. Rasha and Vedang teamed up for a skincare brand for its advertisement. Now that the audience has seen Vedang and Rasha's team up over an advertisement, they desire to watch Veer Pahariya and Rasha Thadani collaborate for a film, whether rom-com or thriller or comedy, and ignite the screens with their chemistry and believability as fresh faces. While Rasha Thadani made her way into Bollywood with 'Azaad,' Veer Pahariya made his debut with 'Sky Force,' which turned out to be a rather unconventional choice. Picking a patriotic role for a first film seems an uneasy task, however, Veer Pahariya's passion and hard work made it believable and sincere. The positive reviews and word of mouth further establish the fact that he's here to stay. 'Azaad' also marked the acting debut of Ajay Devgn's nephew, Aaman Devgan. Set in 1920s India, 'Azaad' sheds light on the life of a young stable boy who bonds with a spirited horse. The film also has Ajay Devgn, and Diana Penty in crucial roles. Indo-Asian News Service

Top performers claim prestigious belts at ILT20 Season 3
A new champion was crowned at the ILT20 Season 3 as the Dubai Capitals overcame the Desert Vipers with a four-wicket victory at the Dubai International Stadium on Sunday. Apart from lifting the coveted trophy, the Capitals claimed the $700,000 cash prize, while the Vipers, finishing as runners-up, received $300,000. The ILT20's signature belts also recognised the season's standout performers with $15,000 each. Dubai Capitals' Shai Hope lit up the tournament with his batting prowess, earning the Green Belt as the season's best batter. MI Emirates' Fazalhaq Farooqi proved to be a standout with the ball, claiming the White Belt as the top bowler. Desert Vipers' Sam Curran showcased his all-round brilliance, amassing runs and wickets to secure the Red Belt as the most valuable player. Meanwhile, MI Emirates' Muhammad Waseem continued his dominance among local talents, clinching the Blue Belt as the best UAE player for a third consecutive season. Red Belt Curran was instrumental in powering the Desert Vipers to the final, capping off his season with an essential knock of 62 runs and the crucial wicket of Shai Hope in the summit clash. Across the tournament, Curran amassed 387 runs in 12 innings, including five unbeaten knocks, and claimed seven wickets, highlighted by a 3-for-28 spell against the Gulf Giants. The battle for the Red Belt was fiercely contested, with Curran narrowly edging out Dubai Capitals' Gulbadin Naib, who made a strong case with 381 runs, four half-centuries, and 11 wickets across the campaign. Green Belt The race for the Green Belt went down to the wire, with Hope surpassing MI Emirates' Tom Banton on the final day. Hope's vital 43-run contribution in the final took his tally to 527 runs at an average of 58.55 in 12 innings, edging past Banton's 493 runs. Notably, both batters were the only centurions of the season, with Banton making history as the first player to score two centuries in the DP World ILT20. Harbhajan Singh showers praise on UAE youngster Aayan Afzal Khan
As the ILT20 Season 3 enters the exciting final phase of the competition, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh has been impressed with the level of competition and the exciting performances on display, especially from young UAE spinner Aayan Afzal Khan. The legendary Indian spinner says all the teams have produced quality cricket in the ILT20, the UAE's IPL-style franchise league. "The tournament is going great, and we've seen some excellent cricket. The good thing about this tournament is that all the teams have shown quality, which means they still have a chance to make a comeback,' Harbhajan said. "Across the three venues (Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah) all pitches are different which makes it more competitive and interesting.' Among the standout performers from the UAE this season, Harbhajan highlighted the exceptional talent of Gulf Giants' Aayan whose eight wickets in the tournament includes a stunning spell of 4/16 against Abu Dhabi Knight Riders. "Aayan Afzal Khan is doing a great job. I have been following him and speaking to him from the first season," Harbhajan said of the 19-year-old left-arm-spinner "I think Aayan could win the Blue Belt award as the most valuable UAE player. As the wickets dry up over the course of the competition, spinners will be key, and it's going to be a lot of fun to watch." Turning his focus to the Desert Vipers, who became the first team to qualify for the play-offs, Harbhajan had high praise for their all-round strength. "From the games I've seen or worked on (as commentator) during my time here, I think the Desert Vipers look like a really strong team. They have a brilliant bowling lineup with the likes of Mohammed Amir and Lockie Ferguson, and their batting features some serious firepower. They are real contenders for the championship," he said. Looking ahead, Harbhajan shared his predictions for the highest run-scorer (Green Belt) and wicket-taker (White Belt) of the season. "I think Fazalhaq Farooqi and Mohammed Amir have been in phenomenal form with the ball, taking wickets in every game. I think one of them could finish at the top of the ladder," he said. "So far, Shai Hope and Tom Banton have scored a lot of runs, but the second part of the tournament has just started. I want to see more players performing, scoring runs, and climbing up the ladder." Finally, Harbhajan said the ILT20 could be a game-changer for cricket in the UAE. 'This league is very important for UAE cricket. At the moment we have two players from the UAE in each team, maybe that number will go up to three or four in the next few seasons as the UAE players are getting better,' he said.
