Archroma Launches CYCLANON® XC-W e for Eco-Efficient Dyeing

Specialty chemicals leader Archroma has launched CYCLANON® XC-W e, a high-performance washing-off auxiliary designed to boost dyeing efficiency and sustainability in cellulosic fiber processing. Built on Archroma's advanced trio-polymer platform, the innovation enables exceptional color fastness under high-electrolyte and hard water conditions while reducing water, energy, and chemical usage. 'CYCLANON® XC-W e helps mills meet rising demands for durable, high-quality garments with lower environmental impact — at comparable costs to traditional agents,' said Dhirendra Gautam, VP Global Marketing and Strategy at Archroma. Tackling Backstaining and Uneven Dyeing Conventional polyacrylate and copolymer agents often struggle with removing unfixed dye in saline or hard water, leading to excess rinsing and quality rejections. CYCLANON® XC-W e solves this with superior dye detachment, minimizing fiber-dye attraction and enhancing wet-fastness, even in deeper shades. Measurable Efficiency Gains Compared to conventional agents, mills using CYCLANON® XC-W e can achieve: Up to 15% shorter process time Up to 20% water savings Up to 20% lower CO₂ emissions Up to 20% chemical reduction For example, a knit facility producing 10 MT/day of dyed fabric can boost output by 1 MT/day without added capacity. Part of SUPER SYSTEMS+ CYCLANON® XC-W e is part of Archroma's SUPER SYSTEMS+ and fits into the IMPACT+ category, which signifies maximum resource savings, regulatory compliance, and durability. It can be combined with Blue Magic pretreatment and NOVACRON® EC/S dyes for a complete cotton dyeing solution. Registrations for bluesign®, ZDHC Level 3, and GOTS 7.0 are underway, aligning with global environmental and safety standards.

GA-ASI Announces Investment in Dutch Technology Innovator Arceon

Selection Follows Successful Pitch During Blue Magic Netherlands Event General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) announces an investment in another Dutch business, Arceon, following the inaugural Blue Magic Netherlands (BMN) event held in November 2024. GA-ASI is a global leader in unmanned aircraft systems and related mission systems. GA-ASI selected Arceon following a compelling pitch they made during the BMN event and after detailed business and technology discussions with GA-ASI and GA's affiliates, General Atomics Energy and General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems. Arceon joins Emergent Swarm Solutions and Saluqi Motors as companies receiving investment from GA-ASI following the BMN event. Arceon is revolutionizing high-performance ceramic composites through their innovative, fast, scalable, and cost-effective melt infiltration process. Their cutting-edge Carbeon carbon-ceramic components – engineered for applications such as nozzles, nozzle extensions, leading edges, nose caps, and airframes – are tailored to meet the increasing and rigorous demands of the space and defense sectors. 'We are honored to collaborate with General Atomics in advancing hypersonic development. This milestone marks our official entry into the U.S. defense sector, presenting an extraordinary opportunity to demonstrate our technology on a global stage. We look forward, with great anticipation, to the journey ahead,' said Rahul Shirke, founder and CEO of Arceon B.V. 'We're excited to be working with Arceon,' said Brad Lunn, managing director for GA-ASI. 'Their technology could have a broad range of applications for GA, from high-temperature engine exhaust materials to hypersonics and fusion containment.' At the Blue Magic investment and innovation conference in the Netherlands last November, GA-ASI and its partners heard pitches from innovative Dutch companies about the important technologies they are developing. The event was organized collaboratively between GA-ASI, the Dutch Ministry of Defense, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Brainport Development in Eindhoven, and Brabant Development Agency (BOM). GA-ASI is delivering eight MQ-9A aircraft to the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF). GA-ASI is continuing to work with the Dutch government and Dutch industry in supporting the growth of technology innovation in the Netherlands and anticipates holding its second BMN event in Eindhoven later this year. The company hosted its first Blue Magic event in 2019 in Belgium, with subsequent events held in 2020, 2021, and 2023. About GA-ASI General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., is the world's foremost builder of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Elizabeth Holmes Is in Prison But 'Theranos 2.0' Just Hit the Market

'You Cannot Silence the Science,' Says Theranos and Blue Magic Inventor PALM BEACH, Fla., June 16, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Elizabeth Holmes may be behind bars, but the vision she once promoted, a world where blood diagnostics could be easier, affordable and more accessible…is experiencing an unexpected revival. Ryan ElHosseiny, former lab CEO and inventor of the viral Blue Magic bio-formulation technology, has officially re-launched Theranos. Despite its quiet launch, the news media is beginning to take notice. The CBS12 investigative team in West Palm Beach recently spotlighted ElHosseiny and his bold new vision pressing him with tough questions about whether this technology is actually valid and accurate. ElHosseiny not only welcomes the scrutiny he encourages it. 'I want this technology challenged,' he said. Mike Magnoli, head of CBS 12 I-Team, said he could not come to a conclusion because he is not a scientist. A very different conclusion than former WSJ investigative reporter and Bad Blood author, John Carreyrou. 'The invention has worked since 2007. It's a complex technology that needs to be understood. Now, we're here to deliver—transparently, ethically, and with science that undisputedly stands up to scrutiny. This isn't just a biotech reboot. It's a reckoning and an opportunity to restore public trust in health innovation by delivering life-saving tools to the people who need them most with all of that information on our website.' 'Elizabeth Holmes may be in prison, but the technology is real and it is out now,' said ElHosseiny. 'You can't silence the science.' ElHosseiny's new venture aims to bring out the facts after he already validated and replicated Elizabeth Holmes' inventions. The technology is already gaining attention from biotech insiders for its transparency, clinical rigor, and potential to reshape preventative care.' With delays in diagnostics still plaguing hospitals and early detection more critical than ever, the platform's timing is significant for a new preventive, MAHA health care system. 'I am not a sock puppet in the healthcare space. I am an innovator, an inventor and put quality products before profits. I've been doing that for over 20 years and that is exactly what's written all over theranos since it was founded by Elizabeth Holmes. No one did their homework on theranos, I did and here I am today,' says ElHosseiny. The company is currently operating in stealth mode, with early clinical validations already in place.
