Kmart Australia has just launched a 'very ugly' $49 travel buy that solves a problem we ALL face on a plane
An awkward-looking travel item has been hailed as a genius solution to a common long-haul flight problem.
Holidaymakers are flocking to Kmart Australia stores after the budget retailer recently launched their $49 Bluetooth Travel Pillow Headphones.
Although unsightly when worn, the tech travel item has been praised for combining the supportive qualities of a neck travel pillow with built-in Bluetooth headphone capability.
The clever item resolves the common issue of trying to juggle wearing a neck pillow and wireless Bluetooth headphones at the same time - without the two travel essentials often knocking or interfering with one another.
The must-have is described as a 'fusion of premium comfort and cutting-edge audio experience' that will 'redefine your travel experience'.
Importantly, the Bluetooth headphones offer a potential 30 hours of play time when used at 80 per cent volume. This means there's no need to worry about the headphones running out of battery mid-flight.
The tech travel item is charged via a USB cable, with one included with the device. It takes approximately two hours to fully charge.
A small control panel on the right side of the neck pillow features the power, volume adjust and Bluetooth pairing buttons.
The Kmart Bluetooth Travel Pillow Headphones, $49 are soft and cushioned, with an under-chin strap to ensure a snug fit. There is a small control panel for the headphones on the right side of the pillow
The dimensions of the combo headphone and neck pillow are 19cm height, 21cm width and 21cm diameter.
The cushioned pillow also features an adjustable (and amusing) under-chin strap, so that it fits snugly and offers quality neck support.
The headphones themselves are also encased in a soft ear pad, ensuring the ears are cupped for both sound quality and comfort.
Travellers can also rest assured as they come with a 12 month manufacturer warranty.
A Kmart store worker recently highlighted some of her other favourite travel essentials in a video shared to the brand's TikTok account.
One of the store worker's top picks was the 3-Piece Packing Cubes, priced at only $8.
The female employee explained in the video that the different sized cubes were perfect to help you 'maximise storage in your suitcase'.
Made of polyester, each of the packing cubes has an open mesh design with zip closure and carry handle.
The suitcase storage saver has a 4.2 star rating on the brand's website, with many jet-setters raving about how it helps keep your luggage 'tidy and sorted'.
One reviewer was pleased with the way the cases were able to 'compress clothes into taking up much less room' inside their suitcase.
The other travel item highlighted in the recent social media video was the Anko Universal Travel Adapter Kit.
The $39 item is described as 'the only travel adaptor you will need in your suitcase,' according to the online product description.
The travel gadget has two USB A sockets and two USB C sockets, as well as two main outlets.
It also comes with four interchangeable adaptor plugs to enable your electronic devices to be plugged in while visiting the US, UK, Japan, Europe, Bali and Hong Kong.
The Kmart employee also made mention of the travel adaptor coming with a drawstring storage bag, allowing you to neatly store all of the adaptors together without losing any of them.
'Handy for travelling between different countries. Small enough to fit in your hand luggage,' read one of the many five-star reviews of the Kmart adaptor.
