Once you've RSVP'ed yes to that romantic garden soirée or a dreamy destination wedding on a tropical island, the excitement quickly turns to the inevitable sartorial problem of not knowing what to wear. But on the bright side, a summer wedding replete with a golden-hour ceremony and al fresco reception is the perfect opportunity to play dress up. As the temperatures in town start taking it up a notch, herein comes the season's most coveted wedding guest wardrobe staple: dresses. A must-have to own for its simple ease of slipping into, especially on days when you're looking to feel some breeze on your skin. Be it a city ceremony or backyard nuptials—there's a dress for every type of wedding. While the season calls for flowy silhouettes, bold hues, and playful prints, dressing for a wedding still comes with its own set of rules. First and foremost: never upstage the bride.
