Applications invited from Intermediate pass students for Central scholarship scheme
The Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) on Friday notified Principals of junior colleges across Andhra Pradesh about the opening of applications for the Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University Students under the Department of Higher Education. The scheme is now available on the National Scholarship Portal ( for the academic year 2025–26. In a statement, BIE Secretary Kritika Shukla said that fresh applications from students who passed the Intermediate Public Examination in 2025 must be submitted by October 10, 2025. Students who were selected in previous years for the scholarship can renew their applications until October 31, 2025. Ms. Shukla instructed department officials to ensure that Principals of junior colleges actively inform eligible students — especially those in the top 20 percentile — to apply online at the scholarship portal. She added that the relevant student data has been made available on the official BIE portal ( to facilitate the application process.

81 junior lecturers promoted as principals in junior colleges
Secretary, Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), Krishna Aditya on Monday gave away orders promoting 81 junior lecturers (JL) as principals. The event was preceded by counselling of all eligible junior lecturers from the State at the BIEs headquarters here. The move is an attempt at strengthening leadership in government junior colleges and ensuring smooth academic and administrative functioning. Mr. Aditya, congratulating the promoted lecturers, emphasised the crucial role of principals in strengthening the academic environment and providing leadership at the institutional level. He added that all the selections were based on merit and while maintaining transparency throughout the process. Controller of Examinations Jaya Prada Bai, District Intermediate Education Officers (DIEOs) of Medchal and Rangareddy districts and others were present.

NEET UG 2025: List of medical colleges in Telangana for MBBS admission
NEET UG 2025: The Directorate of Medical Education, Telangana, hosts the admissions and counselling process for the state medical colleges in Telangana. Some of the government medical colleges in Telangana are: Gandhi Medical College, Osmania Medical College, Kakatiya Medical College, Government Medical College, Nizamabad, Government Medical College, Suryapet, among others. On the other hand, private medical colleges include Bhaskar Medical College, Chalmeda Anand Rao Institute of Medical Sciences, MNR Medical College & Hospital, Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences, Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences, and Mamata Medical College. As of 2021, there are 35 medical colleges and hospitals (12 government + 23 private) in Telangana with an intake capacity of 5240 MBBS seats and 2237 PG Seats. The data was tabled in the Lok Sabha by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on December 3, 2021. The government has also set up an AIIMS in Bibinagar. These are some of the medical colleges in the state that have secured a place in the National Institutional Ranking Framework 2024. In the rankings 2024, only the government college, Osmania Medical College, was ranked and secured 48. Before applying to State College, students need to know the domicile rules of the medical colleges. Here are the rules that you must know before applying: –An applicant should have studied in a school/college in the local area for 4 consecutive years preceding the qualifying examination. –He or she must have resided in the local area for 4 consecutive years preceding the qualifying examination. –If someone isn't considered a local candidate, they can still be considered local if they've studied in the state for 7 consecutive years before applying for NEET UG admission. In this case, they'll be linked to the area where they studied the most or where they spent equal time studying. Alternatively, if they haven't studied in the state but have lived in a local area for 7 consecutive years, they'll be considered local to that area. 1. Resided in the state for 10 years (excluding study periods outside). 2. Parent(s) resided in the state for 10 years (excluding employment periods outside). 3. Parent(s) or spouse employed in the state or central government, public sector, or educational institutions. 1. Open to candidates nationwide with relevant subjects and qualifying marks. 2. For non-Telangana state candidates: – A'Certificate of Equivalence' from the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana, is a must and should be attached to the application. 3. For international candidates: – A 'Certificate of Equivalence' from the Association of Indian Universities and the Board of Intermediate Education, Telangana is needed. State to host largest every parent-teacher meeting on July 5
To strengthen bonds between parents, teachers and educational institutions, the School Education Department and the State Board of Intermediate Education is gearing up to host Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTM) on a mega scale across the State. Samagra Shiksha, State Project Director B. Srinivasa Rao said: 'Mega PTM 2.0' will be conducted in all government and private schools across the State on July 5. We have directed the District Education Officers (DEOs) and Additional District Project Coordinators (ADPCs) to coordinate and monitor the arrangements.' Mr. Rao said the proposed PTM would serve as a platform for parents to understand their children's academic progress, behaviour and social issues, while it would also enable teachers to seek parents' cooperation for the benefit of the students. 'The government believes that this collaborative approach will improve students' overall performance,' said Mr. Rao. Referring to last year's PTM, conducted on December 7, 2024, he said 25.46 lakh parents, 27,395 alumni, 22,200 donors and 36,918 public representatives participated across 44,956 schools. 'Other States are now considering replication this initiative,' he informed. He said the July 5 meeting would be held in 61,135 educational institutions, and they expect a participation of 2,28,21,454 individuals comprising of 74,96,228 students, 3,32,770 teachers and 1,49,92,456 parents, donors and others. Mr. Rao said that at the meeting, teachers will provide parents with Holistic Progress Cards and headmasters will inform parents and others about the school's performance, gaps in infrastructure and their future action plans. Fun activities and games would be conducted to promote camaraderie and success stories of students and schools would be shared and celebrated. The school campuses will have photo booths and dream walls besides sessions on positive parenting. Mr. Rao said that sapling plantation under the green drive 'Ek Ped Maa ke Naam' would be held to encourage participants to shoulder environmental responsibility. A registration app will be available for students interested in supplying saplings. The Board of Intermediate Education, meanwhile, will conduct PTMs in government private junior colleges on July 10, 2025. Board secretary Kritika Shukla said that the idea was to provide space for community participation and facilitate shared celebration of learning, purpose and belonging. She said: 'Besides interactive sessions on the progress of students, health screenings would be conducted under the Rashtriya Bala Suraksha Karyakram (RBSK) and students would be given health booklets, which would be tracked for the next two years.'

Intermediate supplementary exam results out in Andhra Pradesh, 63% pass in 2nd year, 1st year rate 45%
Vijayawada: The Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh (BIEAP), has announced the results of the Intermediate Public Advanced Supplementary Examinations (IPASE) held in May 2025 for both 1st and 2nd-year students. A total of 63% of second year students passed the supplementary examinations. The supplementary exams were conducted from May 12 to May 20 across 1,104 examination centers throughout the state. Spot valuation took place from May 19 to May 29 at 13 designated camps. A total of 1,27,182 students appeared first year supplementary examinations in non-improvement category out of which 57,400 passed the examination with 45% pass percentage. The overall pass percentage of first year examination (March 2025+ May 2025) has touched the mark of 82.16%. Similarly a total of 87,793 students appeared in the second year supplementary examinations in which 55210 students were declared pass. The overall pass percentage of the second year examination (March 2025+ May 2025) has touched the mark of 93.35%. This marks a steady upward trend over the last three years —77.54% and 84.35% in 2023, 80% and 87% in 2024, and now 82% and 93% in 2025 respectively. Officials from the Board noted that these results reflect better academic planning and the resilience of students recovering from the pandemic's disruptions.
