Golfers on top of their game at recent Oake Manor competitions
There were high scores all round at Oake Manor Golf Club's recent competitions.
Bob Tye claimed victory in the Sunday Stableford Competition on July 20 with 40 points, narrowly beating Liam Willey, who had 39 points, and Jamie Price with 38 points.
The 'Grannies Goblet' saw Amanda Mathers emerge as the clear winner on the same day, scoring 40 points in the Ladies Stableford Competition.
She was four points ahead of second-placed Shane Bordier, who scored 36 points.
In the "Order of Merit" Stableford Competition on Monday, July 21, Dave Kinnear was the clear champion, scoring an impressive 43 points.
This also earned him the Division One win.
Howard Spear came second with 40 points, and Michael Bright was third with 39 points.
Leslie Hamp took Division Two with 40 points.
The Ladies Medal on Sunday, July 22 had some impressive scores.
Kate Foster won Division One with a nett 66.
Kathryn Smith was second with a nett 67, and Ladies Captain Daphne Priddy finished third with a nett 71.
Past ladies captain Sally Jackson had the best score of the day, shooting a nett 64, eight shots under par.
In the Midweek Stableford Competition on Wednesday, July 23, Jamie Short won Division One with 40 points off a -2 handicap.
Gareth Nation won Division Two with 42 points.
John Lowe and Dylan Jeanes finished second and third with 40 and 39 points, respectively.
