Emergency services raced to the scene in Saltmarket, in Glasgow, on Saturday morning. Police said they received reports of a man having fallen from a window in broad daylight. Shortly after they arrived, the man was rushed to hospital. However, he tragically died in hospital a short time later. Police locked down the street after launching an investigation into the incident. Blue tape sealed off an area on Saltmarket Place, blocking access to the public. A cordon was also set up outside Body Confident Clinic, just down from High Street. Several officers were seen standing guard at the scene, and a police car was spotted parked on the street. An ambulance was also seen parked on the side of the road. Officers have confirmed that they are working to establish the full circumstances of the incident. Police swarm Glasgow street after 'gun found in home' However, they added that they are not treating the death as suspicious. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 10.45am on Saturday, August 2, officers received a report of a man having fallen from a window on Saltmarket, Glasgow. "The man was taken to hospital, where he died. "Enquiries into the full circumstances are ongoing. "However, there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances."
