Bold & Beautiful's Scott Clifton On Talk of a Return to General Hospital: ‘I'm Just Thinking About… '
As The Bold and the Beautiful takes Liam's condition from bad to worse — even Hope now knows that he's dying — the writing on the wall is increasingly reading that Scott Clifton will soon be out of a job. Hard to believe, right? He's played Mr. Waffle Man, as his father calls him, for 15 years and in that time has racked up three Daytime Emmys and driven a [bleep]-ton of story. But even if it is the end of the line for Liam, it isn't necessarily a wrap for Clifton's career in daytime. He could return to the role that gave him his start in soaps, that of Dillon Quartermaine on General Hospital. The character's domineering mother Tracy is back in Port Charles as is Lulu Spencer, who once upon a time wove a tangled web to entice him to cheat on then-wife Georgie Jones. Clifton could slip right back into the part as if he'd never left it and been recast with Robert Palmer Watkins. Except for one thing. 'I am not at all thinking about General Hospital or any other show,' he tells Soap Opera Digest. 'I'm just thinking about doing the best job I can do telling this story. That is what is important to me. 'I just want to do right by this show,' he continues, 'and this story and and this storyteller — namely, Brad' Bell, the executive producer and headwriter of Bold & Beautiful. Suffice it to say, Clifton is more than doing right by the story. In fact, as Liam tries to keep his chin up even as he's breaking down, he's shattering our hearts on the daily. Luna, who was arrested for the murders of Tom and Hollis, ended up returning from prison. She further stayed under house arrest in Bill Spencer's home, who believed she deserved a second chance in life. Soon, Luna got emotional, feeling the absence of a father figure in her life. Later, John 'Finn' Finnegan revealed that he is Luna's real father. This led to an emotional reunion between the father-daughter duo. However, Finn's wife, Steffy, was against this relationship, considering Luna's past as a psychopathic, deadly criminal. She got more disturbed imagining Luna and Sheila's presence in her life, with the latter revealed as Finn's mother. Luna has also been seen to be attracted to Bill's son, Will, after kissing his father earlier. Seeing Luna's storyline, she is unlikely to leave The Bold and the Beautiful unless some shocking twist takes place. fans were surprised to see the May 8, 2025, episode of the soap opera being preempted by CBS. Thus, the schedule of the daily soap for the week was altered. The Bold and the Beautiful episodes air on the CBS network on weekdays. It is also one of TV's most regularly watched soaps. So, here's everything viewers need to know regarding why the episode of B&B on May 8 was preempted. The May 8 episode of The Bold and the Beautiful was preempted by CBS to telecast the news of the election of Cardinal Robert Prevost as the Pope. Cardinal Prevost was appointed as the new Pope on Thursday. He took up the papal name Leo XIV after being selected. Thus, CBS postponed the airing of the May 8 episode of B&B to play news regarding the same. This has led to episodes of the popular daily soap being pushed one day further. Pope Leo XIV became the new head of the Catholic Church after Pope Francis passed away on April 21. While addressing the crowd after getting elected, he said, 'Peace be with you. Promise, Shmomise: Bold & Beautiful's Steffy Just Betrayed Her Whole Family
Gotta say this for Bold & Beautiful powerhouse Steffy: She is her grandmother's granddaughter. Just like Stephanie would have with Brooke once upon a time, Steffy showed Hope no mercy in the March 19 episode (recapped here). The reinstated Forrester Creations co-CEO wasted no time shrugging off Eric and Ridge's promise to Carter that Hope For the Future was safe and suspended the line. Actually, no — Steffy cancelled the line… with relish! 'We wouldn't have the company back if Carter didn't have standards and morals,' she told her sometime stepsister. 'He saw the error of his ways. But you? You don't. You think what you were doing was fine. Kicking out my grandfather, the founder of the company? You think that was OK?' More from Bold & Beautiful Blow-Up: Hope's About to Lose Carter *and* Her Line… But Will She Get [Spoiler] Back? Steffy was quick to shut down the idea of Hope turning to Ridge for support. 'He's not your father,' Steffy hissed, 'Deacon Sharpe is. [Between him and Brook, you have] two parents with questionable morals. It's no wonder you've only been loyal to one person: yourself.' Not that Hope was any innocent in what went down — she did make a play for Steffy's husband and champion the coup — but that's still fantastically funny dialogue coming from the character who once trapped the blonde in a gondola so she could marry Liam under from under her, then cheated on Finn with her ex after he thought his wife had strayed (when really, it was just a mannequin). Carter attempted to intervene on his girlfriend's behalf, but Steffy wasn't about to hear it. So what if Ridge and Eric gave their word that HFTF was safe. 'Word?' she repeated after the COO in disbelief. 'This is coming from the man who was my father's best friend. The man who stole the company from us.' Mm, no, it was Eric and Ridge who had given their word to Carter, he was just reminding Steffy of that. Not that she gave two [bleeps]. Maybe not even one. Without blinking, she stabbed her father and grandfather in the back by making them liars. 'This is about family,' she insisted. 'It's about honor and respect.' Yet she had betrayed her family, dishonored and disrespected her elders. Not only that, but she disregarded the fact that they should have a say in the matter. Like, 'I'm doing this all for you — shut up!' Somehow, Steffy nonetheless maintained that she wasn't the bully that Hope wanted to make her out to be. But — and this'll bring on the usual chants of 'Logan lover! Logan lover!' — wasn't that what she came off like? That she would have been livid over the coup, we get. But she wasn't just meting out punishment, she was strong-arming everyone in sight. 'You two better watch what you say,' she warned Carter and Brooke, 'if you want to have a future here.'
