Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., India's number one pickup maker and producer of the Bolero Pik-Up, has launched the Bolero MaXX Pik-Up HD 1.9 CNG, a new industry benchmark in the nation's small commercial vehicle (SCV) market. The model has been priced at ₹11.19 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model comes with the largest-in-class payload capacity of 1.85 tonnes, with an aim to offer an enticing combination of performance, efficiency, and utility to transport and logistics operators.
The new Bolero MaXX trim comes with a 2.5-litre turbocharged CNG powertrain that delivers 61 kW power and 220 Nm torque between 1,200–2,200 rpm, providing strong load-hauling capability and cost-effective long-distance driving. Fitted with a 180-litre CNG tank, the pickup has an impressive driving range of up to 400 km on a single fill — an important benefit for companies operating long-distance hauls.
Mahindra has fitted the new pickup with a 5-speed manual transmission, power steering, and D+2 seating arrangement to achieve optimal drivability and comfort. Some notable driver-oriented features are air conditioning and heating, and height-adjustable driver's seat for enhanced ergonomics.
One of the key launch highlights is the introduction of iMAXX telematics by Mahindra, transforming the Bolero MaXX Pik-Up HD 1.9 CNG into the brand's first CNG vehicle with connected vehicle technology. The solution offers real-time visibility into vehicle performance and fleet operations designed to enhance uptime and lower operation cost.
Designed to endure and withstand rough roads, the pickup has a 3050 mm long cargo bed, 16-inch tires, and leaf spring suspension on both axles for better load-handling as well as road stability.
Commenting on the launch, Mahindra reiterated its focus on offering tough, dependable, and low-maintenance commercial vehicles with strong resale value — now augmented with green fuel technology for a greener future. The company is confident that this CNG variant will address the changing needs of India's expanding transport and logistics industry.
