Under the partnership, Reliance Industries' Jio-BP will add petrol and diesel pumps at compressed natural gas (CNG) stations operated by Adani Total Gas, which will then install CNG pumps at Jio-bp's fuel stations, the companies said in a joint statement on Wednesday. 'This partnership allows us to leverage each other's strengths to further enhance the value we provide to India,' Sarthak Behuria, chairman of Jio-BP said in the statement. Top 8 Tips for Maintaining Used Automatic Mahindra Cars in 2025
Purchasing used Mahindra cars can be an excellent investment, especially for those looking for a reliable and affordable vehicle. Mahindra has built a solid reputation for producing tough and durable cars that are well-suited to a variety of driving conditions. When buying a used automatic car, however, it's crucial to understand the unique aspects of maintaining an automatic transmission and the specific needs of your Mahindra vehicle. Whether you're driving a Mahindra XUV500, Mahindra Thar, or a Mahindra Scorpio, proper maintenance will help you keep your car running smoothly for years to come. In this article, we will share 8 essential tips for maintaining used Mahindra cars, specifically focusing on automatic transmission models. These tips will help ensure your vehicle stays in excellent condition, minimizes costly repairs, and continues to perform at its best. One of the most crucial aspects of maintaining a used automatic car is ensuring the transmission fluid is always at the correct level and in good condition. Automatic transmission relies on transmission fluid to lubricate moving parts, prevent overheating, and ensure smooth shifting. Over time, transmission fluid can become contaminated or lose its effectiveness, leading to poor performance or even transmission failure. For used Mahindra cars, make it a habit to regularly check the transmission fluid. If you notice any unusual behaviour, such as slipping gears or rough shifting, it could be a sign that the fluid needs to be changed. Always refer to the owner's manual for the recommended interval for fluid changes, as different Mahindra models may have different requirements. Getting your used Mahindra car's transmission serviced regularly is essential for long-term reliability. This involves checking and changing various components, including the transmission fluid, filters, and seals. Regular servicing ensures that everything is functioning as it should and can prevent major issues down the line. Automatic transmission systems in used Mahindra cars can be sensitive, and an overdue service may cause them to wear out prematurely. Consider visiting a certified Mahindra service centre to ensure that your automatic transmission gets the attention it needs. A professional technician can inspect your transmission for potential issues that might not be immediately apparent. While driving used automatic cars, avoid the habit of riding the brake pedal. This happens when you keep your foot on the brake while driving, which can cause the transmission to overheat, especially in stop-and-go traffic. Overheating can accelerate the wear and tear on the automatic transmission and potentially cause severe damage. To maintain the health of your used Mahindra car, practice the habit of fully releasing the brake pedal while driving. This simple step can help avoid unnecessary stress on the transmission, ensuring it functions smoothly over time. Overloading a vehicle, particularly one with an automatic transmission, can put excessive strain on the engine and transmission system. This is especially true for used Mahindra cars like the Mahindra Scorpio or XUV500, which are often used for heavy-duty purposes, such as towing or off-road driving. When you overload the car with excess weight, the engine and transmission work harder than they should, causing premature wear and tear. Always follow the manufacturer's recommended weight limits, which you can find in the owner's manual or on the door frame of your vehicle. Avoid carrying too much cargo or towing more than the vehicle's capacity to preserve the longevity of your used automatic Mahindra car. To keep your used Mahindra car running efficiently, it is important to use the correct type of fuel, whether it's petrol or diesel. Using the wrong type of fuel can damage the engine and transmission, leading to costly repairs. Automatic transmission systems rely on specific engine performance, and using the wrong fuel type can cause issues with engine and transmission compatibility. When purchasing used Mahindra cars, always check the owner's manual to confirm the appropriate fuel type. This will help ensure the engine performs optimally, reducing the risk of damage to the transmission and improving the longevity of your vehicle. Automatic transmission systems generate a significant amount of heat while operating. This heat must be managed to prevent overheating, which can lead to serious transmission damage. The cooling system, which includes the radiator and transmission cooler, plays an essential role in managing the temperature of the automatic transmission fluid. For used Mahindra cars, it's important to check the cooling system regularly. Ensure that the radiator is functioning properly and the coolant levels are topped off. If the transmission cooler is not operating effectively, it can result in increased wear on the automatic transmission. Regular inspections can help you spot any potential issues early on, reducing the risk of expensive repairs. Though often overlooked, the air filter and cabin filter play an important role in the overall performance of your used automatic car. The air filter ensures that the engine is receiving clean air, which is crucial for optimal performance, while the cabin filter ensures that the air inside the vehicle remains fresh and clean. For used Mahindra cars, dirty or clogged filters can reduce engine performance and put additional stress on the transmission. Regularly replacing the air filter and cabin filter ensures that the engine runs smoothly, which can indirectly benefit the performance of the automatic transmission as well. Clean filters also contribute to improved fuel efficiency, which is a big plus for both your car's performance and your wallet. One of the easiest ways to maintain your used Mahindra car's automatic transmission is to drive smoothly. Hard acceleration and sudden braking can put unnecessary stress on the transmission, leading to faster wear and tear. This is especially important when driving a used automatic car, as the components may not be as robust as in a brand-new vehicle. Try to accelerate and decelerate gradually, avoid harsh gear changes, and drive smoothly, especially when shifting between gears. This practice will not only help extend the life of the transmission but also improve your fuel efficiency and overall driving experience. Maintaining a used Mahindra car, especially one with an automatic transmission, requires a little extra care and attention. By following these 8 tips, you can ensure that your used automatic Mahindra car runs smoothly, efficiently, and lasts for many years to come. Regular transmission fluid checks, proper servicing, and mindful driving habits can go a long way in preventing costly repairs and keeping your vehicle in top-notch condition. If you own or are planning to purchase a used Mahindra car, remember that proactive maintenance is key. With the right care, your used Mahindra car can continue to serve you reliably, whether you're navigating the city streets or heading off-road. Keep these maintenance tips in mind to enjoy a smooth and trouble-free driving experience for years to come. TIME BUSINESS NEWS
