Fire crews descend on Bromley Cross to tackle overnight wildfire
Fire crews descended on a wildfire in Bromley Cross overnight as a large patch of grassland went up in flames.
Teams from Bolton Central Fire Station attended the incident and remained at the site until 11 pm.
Teams on the ground said the blaze was roughly 75m by 75m, and there was no suggestion of its cause.

Greater Manchester Fire Service have issued safety advice informing residents not to take a barbecue onto the moorlands or countryside, as it poses a huge risk of fire.
They also advise extinguishing cigarettes correctly and not leaving bottles or glass in woodlands.
