Death toll from Khuzdar bombing rises to eight

A female student, Malaika, critically wounded in a recent school bus attack in Khuzdar has died from her wounds, security officials said on Friday, bringing the death toll to eight, including six school children, in what authorities describe as an Indian-backed terrorist incident. The deceased include five female students and one male student, security sources confirmed, adding that the blood of these innocent children will be avenged, and that the Indian-backed instigators would be held accountable. The suicide attack targeting a school bus in Khuzdar was carried out on Wednesday morning this week. The suspected bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the school bus as it drove past Zero Point near Rakhshan Hotel, Deputy Commissioner Yasir Iqbal Dashti said, adding that the bus was ferrying students to the Army Public School situated within the Khuzdar cantonment. The vehicle was rigged with more than 30 kilograms of explosives, according to the Bomb Disposal Squad. The military's media wing, Inter-Service Public relations (ISPR), had confirmed that cowardly and ghastly attack was planned and orchestrated by the terrorist state of India and executed by its proxies in Balochistan. The attack sparked an outpouring of condemnation and condolences from the country's top civil and military leadership.

'Divine help' credited for victory over India

Listen to article Referring to the recent conflict with India, responsible sources within the military leadership said on Thursday said that Pakistan had achieved a "historic victory" against its enemy with the "help of Allah Almighty", adding that the adversary no longer dares to take direct action against the country. The sources were speaking with senior journalists at the Presidency on the sidelines of a ceremony where Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir was formally presented with the Field Marshal Baton. When the military leadership sources were asked about those targeting innocent children in Balochistan, they said, "Even now, missiles are being fired at those responsible. Anyone who comes toward us will not be spared under any circumstances." On Wednesday, at least five people – including three schoolchildren – were martyred and several others injured in a suicide attack targeting a school bus in Khuzdar, Balochistan. The vehicle was rigged with more than 30 kilograms of explosives, according to the Bomb Disposal Squad. The ISPR added that India has unleashed its proxies to spread terror and unrest in Balochistan and Khyber-Pakhtunkhawa through such heinous and cowardly acts after miserably failing on the battlefield. The sources cited the Battle of Badr as a spiritual and strategic parallel. "In the Battle of Badr, there were only 313 fighters. Allah had commanded that even a handful of dust thrown at the enemy would strike them like missiles—it was Allah who caused the impact," the sources said. "In the same way," they continued, "in the recent war with India, divine support enabled Pakistan's success. Alhamdulillah, our action left the enemy with no response." The sources hailed the "exceptional unity" among Pakistan's civil, political and military leadership during the confrontation. "Such exceptional harmony is rarely seen. We are proud of this unity." Regarding the ceasefire between Pakistan and India, the officials noted that New Delhi did not communicate with Islamabad directly, adding that "all contact came through intermediaries". When asked why the operation was named Bunyanum Marsoos, sources explained that in briefings to the Field Marshal, air chief, and other officials, it was stated that Pakistani soldiers and fighter jets had stood like a formidable wall against the enemy. "Hence, the operation was named Bunyanum Marsoos, meaning 'a wall of molten lead.'" In response to a question on what precisely forced the enemy into agreeing to a ceasefire, the sources offered a brief reply: "We do not insult the enemy."

J-K: Omar Abdullah visits Uri, interacts with locals affected due to shelling by Pakistan

Baramulla (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], May 14 (ANI): Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Wednesday visited areas affected due to recent shelling by Pakistan in Uri's Salamabad area in Baramulla district. He held conversations with the locals in the affected area. Abdullah acknowledged the loss and pain suffered by locals residing in these border villages and said that the pain of people in the affected areas was 'deeply personal'. 'Heading to Uri today to meet those affected by the recent shelling. Over the past few days, I've witnessed immense pain, loss, and the unimaginable courage of our people. These visits should have been to share joy, to speak of development, not to offer condolences. The pain of my people is deeply personal,' Abdullah posted on X. The border districts of Jammu and Kashmir witnessed intense shelling by Pakistan recently, leading to damage to their residential structures, after India launched Operation Sindoor in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam. The locals residing in the border villages have demanded that the government compensate them for the damaged houses. They also urge the Indian government 'not to spare Pakistan' for its misadventures. Vijay Kumar, a local from a village in Nowshera, said that his entire life savings were spent on building the house, which has been damaged due to shelling by Pakistan. 'I am retired from the army, and we are three brothers who built our houses together. The shelling happened in 2002, 2004, and 2005. However, we never left our house because of it. This is the first time we have had to flee. Otherwise, we would have all died,' Kumar told ANI. He said that the government must compensate those who have suffered damages to their houses in the village, inflicted due to shelling by Pakistan. 'The entire savings of our lives went into constructing the house, which has gone to waste. However, I am glad that our lives are saved. There is no point announcing a 'ceasefire' since Pakistan will not learn. It will target people here. In our village, six to seven houses have been destroyed. They should be compensated,' Kumar added. The Indian Army's Bomb Disposal Squad has been actively engaged in defusing unexploded shells in the residential areas near the Line of Control (LoC) villages in the Noushera sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, ensuring the safety of local residents in the region. According to the Army, the operation is crucial for ensuring the safety of the local residents living in close proximity to the International Border (IB), who were under fire from Pakistan's intense shelling prior to the understanding of the cessation of hostilities on May 10. The video footage shows army personnel carefully handling and defusing the hazardous ordnance while some of them are being exploded from long distances and taking precautionary measures. The shelling affected major districts in Jammu and Kashmir along the Line of Control, resulting in significant damage to homes and infrastructure as well as the loss of civilian lives. Earlier on Tuesday, JK Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo said that the administration has been working to compensate those affected by Pakistani shelling, with more bunkers being built in the border areas. 'Many people have been injured and houses have been damaged due to shelling from across the Line of Control. The administration is working to compensate those affected by Pakistani shelling... We will build more bunkers in the border areas,' he said. (ANI)
