Fans to wait a bit longer: Hetty Koes Endang concert in Miri rescheduled to Sept 13

MIRI (June 6): Fans of Indonesian music legend Hetty Koes Endang will have to wait a little longer for her much-anticipated concert here, as organisers Borneo SuperAct Events have officially announced the postponement of the 'Hetty Koes Endang & Friends' concert to Sept 13, 2025. Originally scheduled for July 5 at the Miri Indoor Stadium, the concert has been rescheduled to allow the organisers additional time to fine-tune preparations and deliver what they describe as a 'highest quality' experience befitting the renowned diva and her fans. In a statement yesterday, Borneo SuperAct Events cited unavoidable circumstances during concurrent preparations as the key reason for the deferment. 'Postponing the concert date appears the best solution to give ourselves and our strategic partners more time to reset and consolidate efforts in order to propel this concert to excellent fruition,' said founder and owner Datuk Eddie Abdullah. The company also expressed its deep appreciation to Hetty, affectionately known as 'Bunda', for her understanding and full agreement with the postponement. Widely respected across Indonesia and beyond, Hetty is expected to draw fans not only from Malaysia but also neighbouring countries like Brunei, Indonesia (Kalimantan), and Singapore, thanks to accessible regional travel routes such as Scoot flights. Meanwhile, all tickets purchased through Uber Tickets remain valid for the new date. According to Eddie, Uber Tickets has confirmed that while tickets are transferable, they remain non-refundable in accordance with the original terms and conditions. Ticket holders are encouraged to contact the Uber Tickets hotline for assistance. The concert will also feature local artistes including Bob Yusof, Rickie Andrewson, Rosiana Urai, and emerging talents Aleysha and Ryan Zachary. Significantly, the concert is charity-driven, with a portion of ticket proceeds going to the Persatuan Sokongan Kanser Payudara Miri (Persopam), a local breast cancer support group. 'This is a concert with charity in mind, as we believe that in business, there must also be a sense of caring and sharing towards the less fortunate in our community,' Eddie added. Borneo SuperAct Events is also appealing to corporate organisations to support the concert, either by sponsoring the event or purchasing bulk tickets as a goodwill gesture for employees and families. The concert marks the organiser's debut venture into the creative and performing arts industry in Sarawak and is expected to contribute to local tourism and cultural vibrancy. 'With more time for planning and promotion, we are optimistic that the concert will exceed expectations when it finally takes place in September,' said Eddie.
