New bookstore opening in Greenville on Independent Bookstore Day
GREENVILLE, Pa. (WKBN) — A new bookstore is coming to the Shenango Valley.
Greenville graduate Chelsea Erb is opening her own store called Boundless Books. It's located on Main Street in Greenville at the old Fry's TV and Appliance Store.
Erb, a Navy veteran and counselor, said the pandemic brought her back to the area. She bought the space earlier in the year with the goal of opening on Independent Bookstore Day, which is Saturday.
'They can come here instead of supporting Amazon or some other places that already have a lot of money, and they have a lot of support,' Erb said. 'They can support somebody who's independent and local, and it's all going to go back out into the community.'
Boundless Books has both new and used books for all ages. People can bring in used books to donate or trade for store credit.
A soft opening will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Erb said she hopes to have a grand opening in the summer.
