Iconic '90s Singer Looks Unrecognizable From Boy Band Days

Iconic '90s Singer Looks Unrecognizable From Boy Band Days originally appeared on Parade. This iconic singer was part of one of the biggest groups of the '90s — and helped define the boy band era. Now 52, 98 Degrees member Justin Jeffre looks nearly unrecognizable from his fresh-faced pop star days, but he's aging with grace. In a recent Instagram video, Jeffre proudly showed off his white beard, fully embracing the salt-and-pepper look. Jeffre and his bandmates, Nick and Drew Lachey, along with Jeff Timmons, have recently reunited, recording new versions of some of their biggest hits. In the video, posted in June, the group sings 'Tremble,' a newer track off their latest album Full Circle, which they've been actively promoting for the past few months. Back in April, Jeffre gave a subtle nod to their past by posting a video from inside a bathtub — the reference didn't go unnoticed by longtime fans. Why the tub? It's a throwback to the band's 1999 music video for their cover of Mark Wills' 'I Do (Cherish You),' in which Jeffre proposed to a woman relaxing in a bubble bath. View this post on Instagram A post shared by 98° (@98degrees) Fans instantly picked up on the reference. One user wrote, 'Justin in a bathtub 🛁🤣 definitely accurate!' while another added, 'BATHTUB!' with the hashtag #IYKYK. While fans are thrilled to see the group back together, it's been a while since they dropped something new (i.e. 2021). 98 Degrees first rose to fame in the mid-to-late '90s after teaming up with Mariah Carey on 'Thank God I Found You,' which earned them a Grammy nomination and a No. 1 spot on the charts. Their 1997 self-titled debut album put them on the map, but it was 1998's track 'Because of You' that became their breakout hit. 'The Hardest Thing' followed soon after, climbing to No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 and earning gold certification. Despite their success, the group disbanded in 2002 and went on a 10-year hiatus before reuniting in 2012. Now, they're back — and proving that some pop stars only get better with time. Nick Lachey makes rare comment on 'totally unexpected' part of marriage with ex-wife Jessica Simpson

Nick Lachey is happily married to longtime wife Vanessa Lachey, and they share three children. But more than twenty years ago the 51-year-old former boy bander's life looked a lot different. While appearing on the podcast Richer Lives this week, Lachey opened up about his first marriage to his ex-wife, 44-year-old singer-actress Jessica Simpson. The two starred on MTV's Newlyweds, which followed them as they settled into living together as husband and wife. 'Newlyweds obviously became a huge reality show,' Nick reflected. 'The only one that had come out before that was The Osbournes, which was also a massive show. But that show was created as a vehicle to promote music.' He said that the show's success and three-season run was 'totally unexpected.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'You know, my ex-wife had an album coming out, [I] had an album coming out, I'll do a little six-episode thing to promote the album,' he explained about what motivated them to sign on to the series. 'We had no idea it was going to take on this other life of being this reality fly-on-the-wall type of show. So that was totally unexpected,' the Ohio native shared. The show lasted from 2003-2005, spawning three seasons during that time. Nick and Jessica's three-year marriage ended shortly after, in 2006. Amid the breakdown of the marriage, the cameras briefly rolled again for Nick's What's Left of Me documentary special. The Hollywood hunk also dished on the strict rule he and Jessica were given in regards to the camera crew. 'I remember at first they were like, "Don't talk to the crew. They're a fly on the wall!" And I was like, "Guys, if this is ever going to work, that's just not how I'm wired. You're not going to be in my house and watch my every move and we're not going to talk to each other. We got to get past that right now,"' he revealed. 'So I actually came to really love the crew. I remember crying the day we shut down because you develop relationships with them. They really became family.' Following their divorce, Jessica went on to have high-profile romances with John Mayer and Tony Romo before eventually marrying former NFL star Eric Johnson. They share three kids: daughters Maxwell, 13, and Birdie, six, and son Ace, 12 in June. In January their split was announced after ten years of marriage, with Simpson saying in a public statement that they 'had been living separately and navigating a painful situation' in their relationship. Meanwhile, Nick and Vanessa are going strong and star together as co-hosts of Netflix's Love Is Blind and The Ultimatum. On Richer Lives, Lachey spoke about balancing work and personal life with his wife. 'I think the best thing you can do is not bring your work home with you, which is tricky when you work with your spouse,' he offered. 'I think we do a really good job of doing that, for the most part, but it's not easy working with your spouse sometimes.' He added, 'Sometimes you show up for work and there's an argument at home that you brought with you to work and you don't want that to bleed over. And sometimes there's arguments at work that bleed over,' he explained. The couple are parents to sons Camden, 12, and Phoenix, eight, and daughter Brooklyn, 10.

Pedro Pascal At The 78th Cannes Film Festival Reactions

Pedro Pascal at the Cannes Film Festival is going viral for all the right reasons. On May 17, Pedro arrived at the 78th Cannes Film Festival for Ari Aster's A24 film Eddington, which received a five-minute standing ovation, and he's been giving the fans what they want. For the Eddington photo call, Pedro wore black trousers, dress shoes, and a black muscle tank top that reveals his arms and a tasteful side view of his torso. Here's a closer look: It wasn't just Pedro's spicy style that had the internet in a frenzy. The Last of Us actor's actions at the festival really have people talking, too. "I am an immigrant," he continued. "My parents are refugees from Chile. We fled a dictatorship and I was privileged enough to grow up in the United States after asylum in Denmark. I stand by those protections, always." On the flip side, he was being extremely playful, blowing kisses and constantly poking out his tongue at cameras. There's a moment when he had a beautiful embrace with Alexander Skarsgård after the premiere of Pillion, a 2025 British drama starring Alexander alongside Harry Melling, and written/directed by Harry Lighton. The internet is straight up thirsty for Pedro, and it's not even a joke. One person said, "anyway back to more important topics... Pedro Pascal definitely could have been in a 90s Boy Band," and that's so real. Another person said, "he makes me want to chew through my own arm," and that's also real. This person said, "I swear - every time I see this man I could drown a toddler in my panties," and that's wild, but also understandable in this internet climate. And finally, someone wrote, "every time someoone invalidates me for finding a 50 year old man hot, pedro pscal validates me by showing up even sexier and hotter than the day before," and that's facts. Pedro is a fan favorite. Period.

BTS Singer RM Returns To No. 1 On A Billboard Chart

In just a few months, the world may get to hear new music from BTS. Several of the seven singers who make up the South Korean boy band are still enlisted in the South Korean military, so the group cannot record new material as a whole just yet. The individual members who are free to pursue their music careers after completing their mandatory service – required of all men by a certain age in the country – are busy with solo ventures. This week, BTS frontman RM returns to the Billboard charts with a brand new bestselling release, and he's not alone. RM teamed up with fellow South Korean artist Tablo for the exciting collaboration 'Stop the Rain.' The duet leans into old-school hip-hop sounds and deals with some fairly negative emotions, which may have helped endear the tune to many listeners thanks to its striking honesty. 'Stop the Rain' quickly becomes one of the top-selling tracks in America as it arrives, earning both Tablo and RM impressive placements on several tallies. 'Stop the Rain' launches on four Billboard rankings this week, but only two of them are based solely in the United States. The RM/Tablo team-up opens highest on the U.S.-only rosters on the Rap Digital Song Sales chart, which ranks the bestselling rap tracks in the nation. The cut marks a first leader for Tablo, and the third as a soloist for RM. It also manages to enter the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart at No. 4. 'Stop the Rain' starts so high thanks to a little more than 3,500 copies sold, according to Luminate. The tune also performed well enough in its first seven-day tracking period to reach both of Billboard's worldwide lists. It opens at No. 116 on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S., which blends sales and streaming activity from around much of the world — excluding American listeners. The two South Korean stars don't rise quite as high on the Billboard Global 200, where U.S. activity is factored in. On that list, 'Stop the Rain' starts at No. 178, coming in more than 60 spaces beneath its position on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. That shows that international plays on streaming sites and purchases on download platforms were largely to thank for the title's debut on either roster.

Could Deadpool join the X-Men? Ryan Reynolds is thinking about it

Ryan Reynolds is back behind the scenes, working on a potential new project involving his iconic antihero, Deadpool, but with a twist. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reynolds is developing early treatments for a film that would feature Deadpool teaming up with three or four members of the X-Men, shifting the spotlight from Wade Wilson to a more ensemble-driven narrative. At this stage, the project is still in its concept phase and has yet to be formally pitched to Marvel Studios. However, Reynolds, known for his hands-on approach to Deadpool's cinematic journey, is independently writing the idea while simultaneously working on Boy Band, an upcoming Paramount comedy he plans to co-produce and star in. The idea of stepping back from the spotlight isn't just strategic, it's philosophical. Despite Deadpool & Wolverine raking in $1.33 billion globally, Reynolds has hinted that he doesn't envision another solo Deadpool outing. Instead, he's interested in exploring team dynamics that broaden the character's universe. 'Fitting in would be Deadpool's death,' Reynolds has said of the character's arc. While there's no official word on which X-Men may appear, speculation among fans points toward familiar faces like Storm, Gambit, and Colossus. Meanwhile, Marvel Studios is developing its own standalone X-Men film, with Hunger Games writer Michael Lesslie attached. Though nothing is greenlit yet, with Reynolds' creative involvement and proven success with the franchise, it wouldn't be surprising if this crossover concept eventually finds its place in Marvel's expanding multiverse.
