Boylan Lady Titans shutout Dixon for a 2A regional soccer championship
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Boylan Lady Titans were tough to beat during the regular season when they went undefeated in NIC-10 play. Nothing has changed in the morning, Boylan defeated Dixon 4-0 at Titan Stadium for a 2A regional championship. It's Boylan's 11th shutout this Posada, Ava Galluzzo and Zoey Schmidt scored goals in the first half for Boylan. Delilah Hawley added another in the second overall record improves to 15-2-2. The Lady Titans advance to the 2A Belvidere Sectional next week. They'll play in a semifinal game on Wednesday at 7 p.m. against Maple Park highlights of this game, watch the media player above. Boylan takes over sole possession of first place in NIC-10 soccer with a win over Hononegah
LOVES PARK, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Boylan Lady Titans pulled away from a first-place tie with Hononegah in NIC-10 girls soccer Tuesday night by defeating Hononegah 5-2. A low scoring first half turned into an offensive second half. Only one goal was scored in the first half. Sophie Moore sent a header toward the Hononegah goal that Kylie Tewell knocked in for a 1-0 Boylan lead. In the second half, the Lady Titans scored a pair of goals only 40 seconds apart by Joscelyn Posada and Ava Galluzzo for a 3-0 lead. Hononegah got on the board on a long shot by Sophia Plourde making it 3-1. Boylan added two more goals and Hononegah one more for the final of 5-2. Boylan improves to 7-0 in NIC-10 play. Hononegah rumbles past Boylan in NIC-10 finale
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WTVO/WQRF) — The Hononegah Indians had a fun NIC-10 finale rolling past the Boylan Titans 67-38 Wednesday night. The Indians even pulled off a creative dunk which you'll see in the video Olson was the Indians' leading scorer with 24 points. Oba Fasalojo added 14.
