Days of Our Lives Recap: Doug's Loan Shark Snatches Holly and Arianna originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Horton Square: Tate tells Holly he's about to let Sophia know he's going with her and Arianna Grace to the lake party. Sophia's Digs: Sophia reads the diary entry she wrote to her son about giving him up. Just then, Tate knocks on the door and Sophia panics. She jumps into bed and props pillows in front of her just as Tate enters. He notes her tension and says she simply wasn't expecting him to be back so soon. Tate says he plans on going to the lake for the day and Sophia rightfully surmises it's to be with Holly. He indicates Holly will be there along with Arianna Grace and most of their graduating class. She knows she's missed so many activities but has no desire to waddle around on the beach. Sophia gives her blessing and Tate says he can be back lickity split if she goes into labor. With that, he exits. Sophia calls Melinda and tells her about Tate exiting to the lake. Their plan can go forward and Tate will never know what she did with their baby. Hernandez House: Arianna Grace is getting ready to go to the lake as her mother questions her about all the things she packed… or didn't. Javi is holding the baby and gets tickled at Arianna's sarcastic tongue. Gabi brings Arianna Grace a huge bag of condoms so she can be prepared. Arianna Grace asks Javi if the baby will be around when she returns. He sadly indicates the mother has fourteen days to change her mind before the baby is put up for adoption. Arianna notes just how attached Javi has become to the little guy. Javi gets baby boy Choi down for a nap when Gabi says she needs to go to the office to deal with a problem. She hates working there but knows she is stuck for at least two years. Brady Pub: Young Douglas is serving Leo breakfast. He takes a break and joins Leo at the table. Doug asks if Julie got her necklace back, but Leo says no. The necklace is there but the woman who brought it back has no intentions of giving it back. Leo tells young Douglas a bit about Gwen. He says she can hold a grudge like anyone's business. Leo says the entire town has screwed over Gwen in one way or another and she's using the necklace for revenge. Leo asks about the loan sharks and Doug indicates he may have a solution. Kiriakis Mansion: Sarah can't believe Xander took Victoria. She tells Maggie about her latest encounter with her husband. Maggie knows Xander's temper tantrum was absurd. Sarah tells her mother to get ready for the trip and she quickly makes her exit. Holly walks in and Maggie hopes she has a wonderful time at the lake. Holly asks about Bermuda and hopes she has a wonderful time. She reads the room and asks her grandmother what's wrong. Maggie is evasive and goes back to asking about the lake trip. She wants to make sure her granddaughter will be responsible. Holly promises her overdose taught her a lesson and she promises to behave. Titan/DiMera: Xander has Victoria in a crib in his office. He calls Melinda and says he has his daughter and wants to make certain he never has to part from her again. After hanging up, Sarah arrives on the scene. Sarah and Xander go back and forth about what's best for Victoria. He still doesn't believe she was simply going on vacation with Maggie. Sarah wonders when her husband became a paranoid lunatic. He mentions their dinner the night before where he believes she was trying to butter him up only to rip the rug out from underneath him (Xander's paranoia is trying my patience). He says the days of her controlling him and his behavior are over (I am not annoyed by that statement). Sarah admits Xander would have a strong case for full custody because she took off with Rachel. Xander thinks that's exactly why she could disappear with Victoria forever. Sarah says she wants to stay in town as she wants him in Victoria's life. She begs Xander to relent about the vacation, but his paranoia takes over. Xander says she's not only a liar but mentally unstable and lists off several times where Sarah seemed to have lost connection with the real world. With that, Xander wants to spend time alone with his daughter and asks her to hit the trail. Just then, Gabi enters and Sarah exits. Horton Square: Young Douglas walks out of the Salem Inn (was he stealing back the necklace?). When he gets a call from the main loan shark goon. He says he doesn't have the money but wonders if he would be interested in a piece of jewelry which he will be able to get his hands on soon. Just then, Arianna Grace calls out and they chat briefly before she gets a notification her ride is there to head to the lake with Holly. They share a kiss before Holly arrives. The two head to the car as the main loan shark goon watches and follows. Park: Holly and Arianna Grace are giggling when the loan shark goon stops them at gun point and walks them the other direction. Days of Our Lives Recap: Jada Questions Chanel About EJ's Shooting Endings Gabi and Xander finish their business just as Victoria begins to cry. Gabi says she remembers that age when babies only want their mother. Sarah tells Maggie she isn't going on the trip. Victoria is with Xander as she's had the baby the last few weeks. Sarah admits she's exhausted and Maggie wonders if there's anything Justin can do (Where is Justin?). Sarah called him on the way home and said legal action could end up backfiring. Sarah pushes Maggie to go on her trip but to no avail. Sarah breaks down in tears and Maggie takes her daughter in her arms. Sophia sees Leo and Javi with her baby and approaches. She introduces herself saying she saw his picture in The Spectator and knows she took in the baby left at the firehouse. Sophia thanks them… for their service. Javi and Leo say they'll have him for two weeks until he is put up for adoption. Leo says the article has resulted in many calls to social services about adoption. They say it will be very difficult to give him up. Sophia can only imagine… She gets teary-eyed before making a quick exit. Holly and Arianna Grace try to talk their way out of being kidnapped. While Arianna runs her mouth, Holly takes her ring off and drops it to the ground. The loan shark goon is having none of it and demands they stand up against the wall. Tate texts Holly as he knows she and Arianna Grace should be there. Young Douglas gets a call from loan shark goon who tells him to check his phone. He sees a picture of Arianna Grace and Holly. Days of Our Lives Recap: Xander and Maggie Find Common Ground originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Brady Pub: Brady and Rachel arrive and join Sarah. Rachel wishes her a happy fourth of July and is shocked to hear she is Sarah's favorite patient. Her mommy tells her she's an acquired taste. The adults hem and haw before Rachel she heads back to help Roman with breakfast. Sarah asks about Rachel and Brady swears her to secrecy before telling her about what happened when she saw Johnny the night of EJ's shooting. She is horrified for Rachel as children need stability to thrive. Brady thinks they are no longer only speaking about Rachel. Sarah thinks back to win she passed Victoria off as Rex' child and wishes Xander never found out the truth. Brady says Xander loves Victoria with all his heart. Sarah worries as Xander's anger hurts the folks he loves the most. Brady brings up his strained relationship with Kristen and how it has played hell with Rachel. He doesn't want to see the same thing happen to Victoria for the same reasons. He says he and Kristen found a way to move forward as a team and thinks she and Xander should do the same. Just then, Rachel returns and they all begin to eat breakfast. Kiriakis Mansion: Xander arrives to see Victoria and runs into Maggie. He has a stuffed dog with him, but Maggie says his daughter is now deathly afraid of dogs. He grouses about the changes in her when he's not around before Maggie says she can't let him see his daughter because she's sleeping. Xander asks if he can wait and Maggie agrees but tries to leave the room. Xander stops her and accuses her of voting for EJ to take over the hospital. Maggie says she hates Xander's actions but not him. Because of her love for Victor, she will never give up on him. She tells him never to question her loyalty to Victor and says she voted for him – and then calls him a jackass. She says nothing has changed between the two of them since he beat the fool out of his brother. Xander pushes back but then says he and Philip have found a way to work together moving forward. Maggie encourages him to do the same with Sarah so they can provide stability for their daughter. Xander says he intends to provide Victoria stability once he's granted full custody. Maggie thinks Xander is delusional as no judge would grant such a thing. Xander reminds Maggie of all Sarah's lying, stealing and cheating to get what she wants. If Sarah wants war, he's ready to fight. Maggie suggests he take the high road and create a solution that allows he and Sarah to work together. She reminds Xander how much he and Sarah, both love each other and the opportunity they have to make things right. Just then, they hear Victoria's cries on the monitor. Xander and Maggie hold hands, and he goes upstairs to hang with his daughter. Hernandez House: Guncle Leo is doting over Baby Boy Choi and begging him to sleep. Javi arrives home and they quietly chat about the things he got for the baby. Leo wonders how long the baby will be staying. He says they've got the baby until social services make their next move. Leo asks about the mother, but Javi says the point of the drop off program is the anonymity of the mother. Leo notes what a difficult decision it must have been. Leo mentions his experience with delivering Nicole's baby but Javi notes that wasn't exactly a great situation. Leo agrees but still notes babies love him and he loves to watch them. That being said, he wonders if staying with him and Javi is the best start for the young boy. He knows Rafe and Javi will be good influences on the boy but is not so sure about himself. Leo mentions his checkered past and childhood traumas. Javi stops him and says everything will be just fine. Leo asks again how long they will be in possession of the baby boy. Javi hesitates before saying he's getting credentialed to be a foster parent in case they need to keep the little one with them for an extended time. Leo gets it and says he's on board to do right by the baby. Javi hopes someone is doing right by the baby's mother. Sophia's Digs: Sophia tosses and turns as she thinks about the traumatic birth the night before. She jumps awake and realizes she is no longer pregnant. Mama Choi calls and Sophia lies about being tired from the baby kicking and agrees to see her upon her return. She then calls someone (Melinda?) and makes a plan to meet up. Horton Square: Tate runs into Holly and have a seat. He asks if she thinks they can start over. She's not certain they can start from scratch, but Tate wants to give it a shot. They agree to take it slow, and he asks her on a date. When Sophia enters the square, she sees the couple holding hands. He asks if she wants to go tomorrow night, but she says she and Arianna Grace have to go to Senior Lake Week. Holly says he should join but Tate says it's probably not a great idea as Sophia's due date looms. Tate selfishly says he could go on the trip as he has a phone and will only be an hour away. Holly smiles at being prioritized and Tate says he's certain Sophia will be fine. Park: Sophia meets up with Melinda who immediately pulls her into a comforting hug. She can't believe Sophia went through something so traumatic by herself. Sophia thinks she is ok physically. Melinda reminds her that she is her lawyer and confidentiality is in place. Sophia explains she gave birth in her room because everything was happening so fast and didn't think she had time to call anyone. Melinda asks for more details and Sophia says she pulled up a YouTube video which told her how to do everything but cut the cord. Melinda's reaction lays somewhere between impressed and mortified. She admits she is relieved everything went fairly well. Sophia is in tears when she talks about dropping the baby off at the fire station. She knows she did the right things as both Tate and her mother would have wanted to keep the baby once they saw him and without an adoptive family in place. Melinda wants to get her examined by a doctor, but Sophia is having none of it. Melinda says they can go to a clinic outside of town and won't take no for an answer. Sophia is frantic as she wonders what in the world, she's going to tell her mother and Tate. Melinda says to leave it to her as she has a plan. Sophia worries her mother will find out and Melinda says she'll cover the cost, so they don't have to go through her insurance. Endings Sarah and Xander run into each other in Horton Square. She notices the stuffed dog and Xander realizes he looks silly. She says she is more shocked he doesn't have it holding a Scottish flag. He says he kept it since Victoria is now terrified of dogs. He says he's going shopping for a teddy bear because making Victoria happy is all that matters. Holly greets her grandmother, and Maggie notes her good mood. Holly says she and Tate are back together and Maggie is thrilled. That being said, she wants Holly to be careful as the baby could change everything. Javi thanks Leo for being on board with the baby and they kiss. Just then, Baby Boy Choi cries and the duo comforts him. Javi looks longingly at a picture on his phone of him holding the baby letting us know there is more to this story. Tate, Rachel and Brady are at the penthouse hanging out and chatting about the breakfast at the pub. They decide to take a short nap before the impending parade. With that, Rachel exits. Brady asks Tate how it's going. Tate says he feels a little guilty because he and Holly have gotten back together and worries how Sophia will react. Days of Our Lives Recap: Andrew and Paul Tie The Knot originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Days of Our Lives recap: Steve and Kayla's Place: The duo awaken and get to sexy time. They finish up this round and Kayla says she's been feelings all kinds of sexy after finding this manuscript at the hospital. She shows Steve who wants to get started trying out all kinds of different things (Oh no). Horton Square: Shane and Tate meet for coffee before the wedding and discuss the baseball game they attended the night before. He says he spoke with Theresa and filled her in on the latest. Tate updates his grandfather on Sophia and says he hoped he would stay around for the baby's birth. Shane asks how Tate is feeling about everything and apologizes for not being around enough. Tate talks about the pregnancy milestones and Shane thinks he may be having second thoughts about the adoption. Tate says he hasn't changed his mind but doesn't want their child to feel abandoned. He references Eve and how her life was impacted by the adoption. Shane says these are very different circumstances and he is doing what's best for his child's future. Brady Pub: Carrie and Belle are chatting. Carrie mentions EJ and Belle says they are still going forward. Carrie promises not to judge, and Belle admits she loves him. Just then, Will walks in and joins his aunts before they head over to the wedding. Carrie makes mention of Will's history with Paul (for those who don't know Will cheated on Sonny with Paul before anyone knew who he was). Wedding Central: Brady and Eric set up for the big event. Eric notes it's the first time he's officiated a same sex wedding. Brady is certain he will be terrific. Brady is happy to be Paul's best man which leads him to remember his father and how much he misses him. Eric makes mention of Philip waking up and Brady says Xander seems to be in the clear as Philip didn't implicate him. Brady switches topics and asks Eric about Nicole as he gets the feeling something is wrong. Eric says he truly has no clue if his relationship is ok. Salem Inn – Andrew and Paul's Room: Andrew and Paul get all sexy and cute before hitting the sheets. They finish up and get to talking about their upcoming nuptials. Paul says he is a little nervous thinking about being married to an ISA agent and not knowing where he is or what he's doing. Andrew gets it, especially with John's death, and promises nothing will ever come between them. They go over the details of the service including a video stream so Kimberly and Theresa can be there. Paul gets teary-eyed when he says he misses his dad and mother (I don't think we knew Tori died). Andrew pulls out a gift for Paul from Marlena, John's watch – something old and borrowed. Marlena and John's Penthouse: Marlena tells Rachel what she heard her say in her sleep. She tells her granddaughter sometimes we say things in sleep we're uncomfortable saying when we're awake. She encourages Rachel to tell her what's going on but she says her mother told her not to tell. Marlena says she thinks the nightmares and tummy aches are related to the secret she's keeping. Rachel relents saying she knows who shot EJ. Rachel provides some information about Mama Blake and wanting to keep her and Johnny safe. Marlena is rightfully confused when Rachel says Johnny shot EJ. Wedding Central: Marlena and Rachel arrive. Eric and Brady scoot Rachel away and Marlena calls Roman, saying they need to talk after the ceremony. Everyone begins to show up for the festivities. Will, Carrie and Belle chat with Marlena and she says how glad they're all there, especially Carrie and Will. Shane, Tate, Steve and Kayla gather when Eric says it' time to call the event to order. Just then, Paul and Andrew arrive. Kayla walks up and straightens Andrew's tie. She fawns over him and says she can't believe her little nephew is getting married. Kayla offers to be his surrogate mom in Kimberly's absence and Andrew says she was always like a mother to him. Marlena straightens Paul's tie and says how handsome he is. He shows her the watch on his wrist and how grateful he is to be wearing it. She wants him to keep it so he can feel close to his father at all times. Eric asks everyone to take their seats, and the grooms take their places up front. He begins the ceremony and says the first part pays homage to Paul's family in Japan. A couple drinks from the same cup, and they are united in marriage. Carrie sets it up as he describes what all each sip represents. Before they drink, Carrie tells them the words they are to repeat and pours the liquid. With that, the two complete the ritual. Eric directs Paul and Andrew to exchange vows. Andrew explains how John was responsible for the two of them meeting (John Black Pride King!). He says no matter where he is they are always together. Andrew says he is blessed Paul chose him to walk through this life. Paul says when he saw Andrew it was love at first sight. He references his mother saying, 'few words speak truth.' Paul says he loves Andrew which is his truth and his vow. He says Andrew knows him like no other, except his dad. Paul says his father was an incurable romantic who told him not to give up on love. He gave him the courage to trust his own heart and take a leap with Andrew. Eric presents the official vows and Andrew and Paul recite them. They each grab their rings and put them on each other's fingers. Eric then pronounces them married and they hug… (no kiss?). Endings Brady gives a funny toast saying he was the cool cat in the family when Paul came in and stole his thunder. He says everyone was enamored by Paul, especially their father. Brady says he is proud to be his best man and prouder to be his brother. Shane steps up and says how he and Andrew were separated for most of his life but still decided to follow in his footsteps. He wants to make it crystal clear that his son is his pride and joy. A stellar ISA agent and a stellar human being. He is thrilled he found someone just as stellar to share his life. He turns to Paul and says he's gained another father in him. Marlena chats with Tate and asks about Rachel. He thinks the tummy ache has passed and all is looking good, as Brady listens in. Carrie walks up and says she's headed out. Her flight is later, but she wants to see her dad who is stuck at the pub. Marlena tears up saying how nice it has been to have her there. With that, they embrace (Don't go, Carrie!). Kayla asks Paul and Andrew about their honeymoon. The two say they've made no decisions, as yet. Shane tells Paul he wants to chat with him after they return about him joining the ISA. He and Andrew shouldn't be apart and there is job awaiting him in DC. Andrew and Paul toast to all their guests. Marlena thanks them for not postponing the nuptials as they all needed a celebration to look forward to. Days of Our Lives Recap, June 12 Episode: Bo and Hope Reunite, Abigail's Absence is Felt Strongly
The June 12 episode of Days of Our Lives featured emotional moments as characters remembered John Black and leaned on each other in times of grief. While Marlena, Steve, Roman, and others gathered at the Brady Pub for John's wake, Jennifer and Julie mourned Abigail and Doug. At the same time, Bo and Hope reflected on their past as they walked through Salem together. Jack honors Abigail as Jennifer mourns Doug and John Jack visited Abigail's grave and placed flowers, asking her to welcome John into heaven. Meanwhile, Julie returned home to find Jennifer struggling with emotions on the anniversary of Abigail's death. Jennifer skipped John's wake to stay with family and spoke about losing Doug and John so close together. Julie comforted her and reminded her to appreciate the blessings they still have. Hope soon joined them, and the three women embraced. Jennifer left to get ice cream while Julie and Hope discussed Jennifer's strength. Hope admitted she felt guilty celebrating Bo's return while grieving John, but Julie reassured her there's nothing wrong with being grateful. As they sat down for ice cream, Julie recalled traveling to Paris years ago to urge Bo not to give up on Hope. The conversation moved to old memories of the Cruise of Deception and how Jennifer realized she found her soulmate in Jack. A flashback showed Jack and Jennifer on the island. Jennifer asked Jack to get some sleep while she stayed up with Hope. Later, Hope and Jennifer discussed the mysterious necklace Doug had taken. Jennifer was already looking into it, and Hope offered to help. Julie interrupted, and Jennifer went to bed. Hope and Julie then talked about starting a new chapter with Bo and the gratitude that comes with second chances. John's wake at the Brady pub At the pub, Steve served drinks as Bo joined Marlena, Steve, Kayla, Roman, and Shane. Steve gave a toast to John Black, calling him the finest man he ever knew. Marlena remembered their adventures, and flashbacks showed key moments from John's life, including his time as The Pawn, Marlena helping him, and their West Virginia trip. The group recalled past enemies like Stefano and Orpheus, and remembered how John and Marlena fell in love. Shane mentioned his son Andrew's upcoming wedding to John's son, Paul. In the June 5 episode of Days of Our Lives, Salem continues to mourn the loss of John Black, while personal struggles and secrets bubble to the surface. At The Spectator, Leo works on John's obituary, titled John Black Dies a Hero. Chad arrives and remembers John's kindness after Abigail's death. Leo wants to honor John properly, but the copyeditor thinks the obituary is too long. Chad agrees to shorten it before his scheduled charity skydiving date with Cat. Sensing Chad's reluctance, Leo suggests canceling, especially if Cat still has feelings for Chad. Chad admits he's not ready to move on from Abigail and agrees. Leo says canceling the date and avoiding a risky jump is a win-win, earning a glare from Chad. At home, Gabi comforts Ari over John's death. Ari brings up how Will dislikes her living with Leo Stark, and Gabi agrees. Ari mentions Leo's odd gifts, like Celine Dion CDs, leading to a small argument. Things escalate until Rafe comes home. Meanwhile, the mystery photographer continues snapping photos of Ari in the Square.
