Public comment sought for State Route 141 project

Jan. 27—The Ohio Department of Transportation District 9's Environmental Office is seeking public input for an intersection improvement project on State Route 141 and County Road 7E (Old State Route 75) in Lawrence County. It is proposed to perform an intersection improvement project on State Route 141 at the 2.45 mile mark in Lawrence County. The project will realign the intersection of State Route 141 and County Road 7E. The project is located in a rural area of Upper Township. The project will require approximately 0.040 acres of permanent right-of-way. The permanent right-of-way is located in a commercial parking lot. The project will require approximately 0.054 acres of temporary right-of-way. The temporary right-of-way is located in a commercial parking lot and cemetery lawn. No homes or businesses will be removed by the project. The roadway will be open for the duration of the project. The funding for the project is 90% federal and 10% state funded. The environmental commitment date is 1/1/2026. The project is currently expected to be awarded April 6.
