ALBAWABA - Local Iranian media say that a big fire broke out Tuesday night near a military base in Shiraz, southern Iran, that is thought to be connected to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Iran's "Breaking News Agency" reported that people saw fires and thick plumes of smoke coming from a place where rocket equipment from an IRGC Aerospace Force unit was thought to be kept. The event happened near a known rocket base, but the exact location that was hit is still unknown.
Iran's government has not yet made a public comment about what started the fire, how bad the damage was, or whether any secret sites or missile stores were involved.
The accident is the latest in a string of strange fires and accidents that have happened at important military and economic sites across Iran. People are wondering if there is mischief going on or if there are problems within the organization, but no one has been officially named. — Lala News & Stuff (@lala515711) August 5, 2025
People are more interested and worried because officials haven't given any quick answers. This is especially true since emotions are still high in the area.
