Marriott Bonvoy is serving up something unexpected this Merdeka, with the launch of 'Brew With Benefits,' a travelling coffee rave experience held at select hotels in Malaysia. Running across August and September, the experience celebrates Malaysia's rich culture and café heritage with a line-up of local-inspired coffee-based drinks, curated playlists, and exclusive appearances by guest barista Wira Merican, founder of local coffee collective hétam+. From notes of pandan, Harumanis mango, pineapple to rose-syrup, guests can enjoy limited-time 'cofftails' – coffee cocktails – at participating hotels and bars, and earn Marriott Bonvoy points with every purchase. Merdeka In A Tumbler The highlight of the event is a special drinks menu curated by Wira Merican, known for his experimental approach to Malaysian coffee. Making guest appearances at select Marriott Bonvoy hotels, Wira will be hosting live brewing demos, tastings, and storytelling sessions inspired by Malaysia's diversity and Merdeka spirit. He will also be brewing up six special drinks, including Emas and Khatulistiwa. 'Coffee is more than a drink, it's an experience, a memory, a story.
