2 men arrested after Boyd Avenue homicide: Winnipeg police
Social Sharing Two men are in custody after a 26-year-old man was found suffering from severe injuries in Winnipeg's North End last week and later died, police said Thursday. Breydon Henry Cadieux-Kwiatkowski was found unresponsive near Boyd Avenue, between Parr and McGregor Streets, around 7 p.m. on Aug. 5, city police said in a news release last week. Police said he experienced "severe trauma" and was in critical condition when he was taken to hospital, where he died. On Tuesday, officers from the joint RCMP-Winnipeg police violent offender apprehension unit arrested two men, with help from the tactical support team, Winnipeg police said in a Thursday news release. Darian Allen Gaige Sam, 27, has been charged with manslaughter and two counts of failing to comply with a release order, police said. A 64-year-old man has been charged with being an accessory after the fact. Police allege that Sam was in an altercation with the victim that escalated to Cadieux-Kwiatkowski's fatal injuries. Police said the 64-year-old man helped Sam flee the scene. Both men were detained in custody, police said.

According to police, officers responded to reports of an unresponsive man on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the 600 block of Boyd Avenue. When they arrived, a man suffering from 'severe trauma' was found. He was taken to hospital in critical condition, where he died from his injuries. He has been identified as Breydon Henry Cadieux-Kwiatkowski. Anyone with information or video surveillance is asked to call Winnipeg police at 204-986-6508.

Winnipeg man, 26, dead in North End homicide
The death of a 26-year-old man found suffering from severe injuries in Winnipeg's North End this week is being investigated as a homicide. Breydon Henry Cadieux-Kwiatkowski was found unresponsive in the area of Boyd Avenue, between Parr and McGregor Streets, on Wednesday at about 7 p.m., according to a Winnipeg police news release on Friday. He was suffering "severe trauma" when emergency crews arrived and provided care before transporting him to hospital in critical condition. He has since died of his injuries. The homicide unit continues to investigate.
