Ginny and Georgia's Brianne loves this £18 face mist that's also a hangover cure

Brianne Howey refreshes her skin while filming for Netflix's Ginny and Georgia with an £18 face mist Ginny and Georgia series three hit Netflix with a bang last week, and if you've already binge-watched all ten episodes, you're not alone. News that series four has been confirmed broke over the weekend, so we're looking to get our G+G fix in other ways until it's back on our screens. We've been doing a bit of research into Georgia star Brianne Howey's skincare routine, after spending all of series three gawking in awe at her flawless skin. And while she doesn't post too much herself on Instagram outside of sharing glamorous snaps from premieres, we did come across her whole skincare regime courtesy of Glamour US. Speaking about filming for Ginny and Georgia, Brianne said: 'There are lots of emotional scenes, so you're taking makeup off, then reapplying. That's where I feel like I have to take the most care of my skin.' She then goes on to list a host of rather pricey products, including two buys from La Mer, she turns to while filming. However, in amongst the high-end products is an affordable gem that you can shop over here: Caudalie's Beauty Elixir, £18 on LookFantasti c. "I didn't discover Caudalie until I was in Paris this summer," she explained. "Obsessed. I use it too much. I go through a bottle every two weeks. She smells so good. My girlfriend also swears by it for hangovers." Tick and tick. Made with 100% natural-origin ingredients, this multitasking mist is basically your skin's new BFF, prepping it before make-up, setting everything in place and giving your complexion a little pick-me-up whenever it needs it – ideal for Brianne to mist in-between scenes. The formula is as soothing as it sounds: a refreshing burst of moisture that instantly smooths, soothes and plumps, leaving you with a soft, dewy luminosity. It's no wonder this little green bottle is beloved by A-list make-up artists and celebrities alike, including Margot Robbie and Victoria Beckham. It packs a glow-boosting trio of green grape, orange blossom and a medley of nourishing plant oils, all working together to deliver antioxidant goodness and a rosy, radiant finish. And while it's handy if you're on film, it's equally as useful if you're mid-commute, on a plane, post-workout or heading to dinner from your desk. There isn't a mention on Caudalie's product page of it being a little-known hangover cure, but we can see where Brianne is coming from. The mist gives a temporary pore-tightening and toning effect– kind of like a cold compress with attitude. The minty, herbal scent and fine mist are also very invigorating. It's like splashing your face with a fancy herbal iced tea. Since the smell of mint is also known to relieve nausea, it's very likely the scent of the mist also helps with that. While the Caudalie Elixir is well worth the £18 for 30ml, if you're looking for a lower cost alternative to try out before you commit, you can get a bottle of Pixie's Glow Mist for £7.99 on TK Maxx at the moment – perfect for the upcoming muggy weather.

Tom Vilsack's election season message

Good morning, Iowa. Tom Vilsack has his eyes on 2026. No, not because he's interested in taking his old job back and succeeding Kim Reynolds as Iowa governor. The former U.S. Department of Agriculture Secretary visited Indianola Tuesday to hold the first of what he hopes will be regular conversations with farmers and rural Iowans about agricultural policies. And he wants those issues to stay front and center on the campaign trail, but he's no longer looking at elected office. "I think I can sort of lay a marker down that as we begin a very important debate about our state and about our country, that this is a set of issues that ought to merit some conversation by those who do want to be a leader," he said in an interview. Brianne has the details. Another name in Iowa politics is out of consideration for the governor's race. 2nd District U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson officially ruled out a run for governor in 2026. "After much prayer and conversation with family and friends, I have decided to stay focused on my mission in Washington, working with President Trump to Make America Great Again," she said in a statement to the Register. Brianne has the full story. Democrat Angelina Ramirez made history Tuesday, potentially becoming the first Latina elected to the Iowa Legislature. Ramirez, a Cedar Rapids social justice advocate, defeated Republican Bernie Hayes, a retired systems engineer, to win election to the Iowa House District 78 seat in Cedar Rapids with 79% of the vote, according to unofficial results. That keeps a seat for Democrats after Sami Scheetz resigned April 1. Learn more about Ramirez in my story. ∎ Iowa GOP lawmakers sent a bill to Reynolds' desk that redefines bullying and harassment in schools, removing a list of specific traits like sexual orientation and race that bullies might target. Republicans say some schools misinterpret current law, while Democrats counter that the existing law already covers all bullying. ∎ Iowa lawmakers have approved a bill requiring schools to show students in fifth-12th grade a video of the stages of pregnancy that "depicts the humanity of the unborn child." The bill bans information from abortion providers or groups that refer patients for abortions. Democrats say that would preclude using information from medical institutions like the Mayo Clinic. Protestors rally against Trump administration

CAPITOL, Mich.(WLNS)— Hundreds of protestors gathered at the Michigan State Capitol joining forces to fight for their rights. The 50 States 50 Capitols 1 Day Protest gained popularity through social media, calling on protestors in all 50 states to rally together to oppose the new Trump administration Wednesday afternoon. Kelsey Brianne, an event organizer says the purpose of the rally is to fight against Project 2025. 'People are scared, they're terrified, that they might be deported. That they lose their health care,' said Brianne. 'Basic stuff that is unprecedented. This is not normal. This is not normal and it never has been.' Brianne says the rally's mission is to protect their rights and make their voices heard. 'What they're doing is, they're doing things that they know are illegal to challenge it at the court, cause that's how we lost Roe, and so what's happening is they're shocking us. They're scaring us,' said Brianne. Karen Gregg, a protestor, says Trump is trying to control the country. 'He thinks he can do whatever he wants with the executive orders,' said Gregg. 'and I hope our courts will hold, and stand up to him.' When President Trump pardoned the Jan. 6th defendants last month, Gregg says she was appalled. 'To pardon people, who beat up police officers?' said Gregg. 'They're criminals, and they should be in prison.' One of Trump's promises is to enact the largest mass deportation in U.S. history, something, Sarah Habbo, a protestor, disagrees with. 'The fact that were splitting apart families,' said Habbo. 'It's incredibly wrong, and it's unconstitutional even more than that.' Habbo says American citizens didn't vote for an oligarchy. 'Elon Musk has access to the US treasury, someone who is unelected. Someone who is unvetted,' said Habbo. 'Unapproved by Congress. These are all constitutional violations.' Last month, Trump blamed the D.C helicopter crash on diversity politics, ex-marine, Bill Murphy says differently. 'I've met women more qualified than these weak insecure little boys I see,' said Murphy. 'like the Proud Boys they just let out of jail. I've seen strong women that can handle them with no problem.' Murphy urges the public to educate themselves on Project 2025. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. This material may not be published, broadcast, rewritten, or redistributed.
