Man charged with aggravated assault in connection with weekend stabbing

Calgary police have charged a man in the aftermath of a stabbing in the city's southwest.
The incident occurred on Saturday around 3:20 a.m. in the 0-100 block of Bridlecrest Manor S.W.
Officers were called for a stabbing and found one man injured.
That individual was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, police say, and he remained there as of Monday afternoon.
According to police, the suspect returned to the place where the incident occurred.
Cody Lee Bruesewitz, 41, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
He's scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
