Cunard is charging an entry fee for some shows on the Queen Anne
Cunard has begun charging guests an entry fee for shows in the Bright Lights Society lounge on the Queen Anne, an unusual move in cruising, where entertainment is typically included in the fare.
"Fizz" and "Noir" cost $20 and include a glass of champagne, according to Cunard's website. "Bitter Sweet Symphony" costs $46 per person and includes three cocktails, which Cunard describes as part of the show. "Your taste buds are taken on an extraordinary journey where flavors are manipulated by live music, dance, and lighting," Cunard says.
Guests must pay a penalty for no-shows or if they cancel less than 24 hours before the performance. For "Bitter Sweet Symphony," the cancellation/no-show charge is $15 per person. For "Fizz" and "Noir," a $5 charge applies for cancellations within 24 hours and no-shows.
