Brightspeed donates $18k to Greene County Schools program
GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Brightspeed announced Thursday it's donating $18,174 to Greene County Schools to purchase classroom equipment for elementary and high school classrooms. The donation will go towards the school's 'Greene LEAF' program, which will then purchase computers and devices for the classrooms. Three candidates interviewed for next superintendent of Johnson City Schools 'We are so grateful for the support and cooperation of Brightspeed,' Suzanne Richey, executive director of Greene LEAF, said in a news release. 'The willingness to work with us on this grant to support our students will make a positive difference for many years to come.' Greene LEAF is a nonprofit created by community leaders to help bridge the funding gap for materials and programming not supplied by local government. 'At Brightspeed, we believe in giving back to the communities where we live and work — it is an important part of our company culture,' Lymari Muñoz, marketing manager for Brightspeed's south region, said in the release.
