Hand-built classic car helping put town on global map
A hand-built classic car is helping put a town on the global map.
The Malvern-made Morgan Supersport took centre stage at a recent event in London celebrating the UK's most successful car manufacturers.
Dame Harriett Baldwin, MP for West Worcestershire, met with Morgan Motor Company's chief commercial officer, Gary Pearson, at the event to discuss the company's international ambitions and the challenges posed by US trade tariffs.
Dame Harriett said: "It was great to see a Malvern-built car lining up alongside some of the greatest cars in the world to promote the very best of British manufacturing.
"Morgan's historic cars are hand-built by local people at a factory in the heart of Malvern and it has been a proud champion of the town.
"I will continue to speak up for Morgan Motors and its highly-valued network of local suppliers as it competes on the world stage and puts Malvern in the global spotlight."
The Morgan Supersport was displayed alongside vehicles from Aston Martin, Bentley, Lotus, and McLaren.
The event aimed to showcase the success of UK car brands and raise awareness of the contribution of smaller manufacturers to the industry.
