Meredith Williams has been named Senior Vice President, Reinsurance Strategy and Placement & Broker Assumed Operations. This new department combines several previously separate functions – a change aimed at giving AmericanAg® the ability to facilitate a greater connection between its corporate reinsurance strategy and the underwriting activities in its Broker Assumed area. In his new role, Meredith will be responsible for managing all outward reinsurance placements, monitoring reinsurer counterparty credit risk, advising on new product solutions, and overseeing the company's Broker Assumed segment, which includes domestic programs and international business in Canada, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and Africa. Meredith has extensive experience in reinsurance evaluations and negotiations, primary occurrence and aggregate exposure risk management, and insurance regulation. Past roles include Vice President, Reinsurance, for Zurich Financial Services and Partner for Howden Tiger.
